"I wonder what will happen to him?" Eaglepaw heard Ashpaw's loud meow. Eaglepaw was trying to take a nap. Foxfoot wouldn't be training him because he was being questioned by Adderstar. Adderstar had let Eaglepaw take a bit of rest after the quarrel with the angry deputy.

"Can't a cat get any rest?" Eaglepaw mumbled loud enough for Ashpaw to hear. The gray apprentice turned and glared, before turning back to Kestrelpaw.

"Maybe he'll be exiled!" Kestrelpaw whispered, excitedly.

"Then who would be deputy?" Woodpaw murmured in thought.

"Surely not Pepperspot!" Ashpaw joked.

"Ashpaw! We're doing battle training!" Ashpaw's mentor Duskrunner called out to his apprentice.

"You come too, Woodpaw!" Poppyheart beckoned her apprentice with her tail. The two apprentices bounded out of the den.

"Hey, Eaglepaw, do you know why Foxfoot attacked Poppyheart?" Kestrelpaw asked curiously.

"I dunno, something to do with going to the lake," Eaglepaw replied to his brother sleepily. "Now, can you let me sleep?"

Not long after that, Eaglepaw drifted into the darkness of sleep. He awoke later to shouts coming from around camp.

"Will she be all right?" Brightstripe gasped.

"What happened to her?" Kestrelpaw shrieked.

"She is a mess!" Woodpaw whispered anxiously.

"Stormkit!" Juniperkit wailed.

Eaglepaw padded out of the den.

"Eaglepaw! Did you see Stormkit?" Beechheart ran over wide-eyed.

"No, but it sounds bad," Eaglepaw replied anxiously.

"Well, me and Pepperspot spotted her while on a hunting patrol! Stormkit was beside the river, unconscious!" Beechheart explained what had happened.

"What happened to her?" Eaglepaw asked, the whites of his eyes showing.

"I don't know!" Beechheart mewed.

Eaglepaw raced over to the medicine den. Stormkit's paw was sprained, and she was soaking wet.

"Eaglepaw" Snowfern exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"I, uh, I wanted to see if Stormkit is OK..." Eaglepaw replied.

"She should be OK, now please go do... training or whatever," Snowfern ushered him away. Eaglepaw heard coughing from behind him. He spun around to see Stormkit coughing up water.

"Eaglepaw! Come here," Creampaw beckoned him in.

"Why? Snowfern told me to go," Eaglepaw asked.

"I need you to keep Stormkit warm, please," Creampaw told him.

"Wha- how?"

"Lick her fur the wrong way and stay close to her."

"Ok," Eaglepaw curled up around Stormkit and began to lick her fur the wrong way as Creampaw massaged her chest. Stormkit seemed to cough up the last bit of water not long after that. Snowfern brought a bundle of small leaves and set them in front of Stormkit.

"Here, eat these. This is thyme, it should help calm you down," Snowfern mewed in a calming tone.

"What... What happened?" Stormkit squeaked, her voice barely audible.

"You likely fell in the river, little one," Snowfern explained.

"How?" Stormkit seemed dazed.

"I don't know, you might have tripped," Snowfern looked down at Stormkit's sprained paw.
