Chapter 3: The Mysterious Beastman

Previously in Prejudice in a human world:

[Asuka and his friends decided to hang out after their first day of university. While going to get something to eat, Asuka sees a city in the distance, which appears to be Anima city. Asuka has a familiar feeling when looking at this place but he cannot place it currently. On his way home, he hears a whimpering sound from an alleyway and finds an injured beastman. Not long after, he is attacked by beast hunters, but manages to fight back and escape, which the beast hunters do not take nicely. The beastman Asuka was protecting, managed to escape unharmed, but Asuka still wonders who they are...]

Asuka: [It has been a week since I started university. I've gotten along well with my classmates and everything seems to be going along great! My mind wanders to that beastman I saved before though...I'm not sure why...anyway, I have this opportunity at university, to take my life into my own hands.]

Asuka thinks as he proceeds to university. He cannot get thoughts about last week out of his brain. While thinking, he suddenly bumps into someone.

Asuka: "Oof!" *Falls to the ground* "hggghhhh...huh? Oh! You okay?"

Asuka gets up and takes a look at who he bumped into. It appears to be a girl with orange hair. She is also wearing a school uniform.

???: "N-No, it was my fault, really."

Asuka: "Nonsense, I was too busy thinking to look where I was going. Here, let me help you up." *He offers his hand*

The girl looks at Asuka and her eyes widen a little as she takes his hand.

???: "You're one of those beastmen, aren't you?"

Asuka: "Y-Yes...I am."

???: "Can I get a picture with you? This is such a rarity!"

Asuka: "Oh, uh sure!"

The girl snaps a pic with Asuka and introduces herself.

Nazuna: "Thanks, I'm Nazuna by the way!"

Asuka: "Well, nice to meet you Nazuna. Anyway, I'm sorry for having to rush like this but I'm on my way to university currently. Maybe if we meet again, we can talk more."

Nazuna: "Oh, okay, I understand. Well, I hope you have a good day at university!"

Asuka: "And you have a good day at school, take care!"

Asuka says goodbye to Nazuna and continues on his way to university. Once he arrives, he sees Haruto and goes to greet him.

Asuka: "Hey Haruto."

Haruto: "Oh, hey Asuka!"

Asuka: "I have something to ask you."

Haruto: "What is it?"

Asuka: "How often do you see beastmen around?"

Haruto: "Well, you're the only one I've seen to be honest... They're kinda rare around here, maybe because of those damn beast hunters. Anyway, why do you ask?"

Asuka: "Well, I encountered one on my way back from university, after my first day."

Haruto: "Oh, did you get a good look at them?"

Asuka: "Yeah, They were some kind of a fennec fox I think...?"

Haruto: "Hmm...maybe we could keep an eye out if you wanna find them."

Asuka: "Yeah, we could do that, but I'm not too concerned about it because well...their appearance was very brief."

Akio sees Asuka and Haruto and decides to join the conversation.
