Chapter 4: The Hunt Begins

Previously in Prejudice in a human world:

[It had been a normal past week for Asuka, attending university and hanging out with his friends. 1 week later, the events from the past resurface as he is greeted by the very beastman he saved from before. She introduces herself as Mio, a fennec fox beastman. She informs Asuka that the beast hunters are gunning for him, but are waiting for the right time to strike. With this information, Asuka must be vigilant and cautious, but how long can he stay safe...?]

Alarm: *Beep beep beep beep*

Asuka: "Alright...jeez..."*shuts off alarm.*

Asuka gets up and gets dressed, like he has done many times before. He can't help but think that something doesn't feel right. He shakes this feeling off and leaves for university.

While on the bus, he is approached by a man with an eyepatch.

???: "Hey, you're a beastman, aren't you?"

Asuka: "Yeah, I am"

???: "Heh, I got my eye carved out by a beastman, see?" *Points at his eyepatch*

Asuka: "How'd that happen?"

???:  "I'd rather not say. The past is the past."

Asuka: "Well, alright."

Asuka gets to his stop.

???: "Well, end of the line, I guess."

Asuka: "Huh?"

???: "Heh, nothing. Go on."

Asuka: "Hmm...alright."

Asuka gets off the bus and walks to his university. He got a strange feeling from that man, as if he knew something bad was going to happen. Like before, Asuka just shakes off this bad feeling and presses onwards. Once he arrives, he heads to his first class.

1 hour passes when Asuka suddenly hears commotion. The teacher goes to see what it is but heads back into the classroom and calls the head president.

Teacher: "Hello? Some people have came in and are causing a disturbance."

They get no answer from the phone. Suddenly, beast hunters enter the classroom.

Beast hunter 1: "Alright, where's the tanuki. He in here?"

They see Asuka and approach him.

Beast hunter 1: "You, you're coming with us."

Beast hunter 2: "Yeah, we just wanna have a little chat."

Asuka: "What? No way!"

Beast hunter 1: "Too bad!" *Grabs him and another beast hunter puts his hands behind his back.*

Beast hunter 2: "We'll be going now, continue with the lesson."

Asuka: "Let me go!"

Beast hunter 1: "Oh shush."

The beast hunter hits Asuka on the head, dazing him. Asuka is dragged out of the university and to a secluded area and thrown to the ground.

Beast hunter 3: "This is gonna be so good!" *Laughing*

Beast hunter 2: "Yeah, we're gonna rip this boy's heart out!"

Beast hunter 1: "That will have to wait. One of the leaders wants a word with him."

Asuka gets up and looks around. He sees someone approaching him.

???: "Well well well, we meet again."
