Meiying's ears perked up at the sound of a familiar sigh and footsteps trudging up the forest trail. The small fox stretched out her body before standing on the branch she was napping on. As soon as the black fur came into sight she hopped off the branch and into the demon's shoulder. Her small form curled around his neck and got comfortable.

"So how did it go?"

"Bad....like really bad" Macaque groaned in frustration "we had a really bad fight...."

The fox glanced up at him, a sympathetic look in her eyes "im sure it wasn't that bad."

"I called him a selfish demon, he called me a coward and said he never wanted to see me again" Macaque gave her deadpan look "he blamed me for everything....."

"Well.....maybe just give him some time to cool down" She felt bad for her friend, she knew how much Wukong's opinion meant to him "im sure he regrets what he said, he loves you."

Macaque gave a small smile but it was in contrast to the tired look in his eyes, it looked like he had been crying for a while. It broke Meiying's heart to see him so upset, he was like a brother to her.

"Your probably right" he sighed "i still feel awful though....i wish i could help him....free him at least, god im useless...."

Meiying's eyes widen "your not useless, he was sealed by Buddha there's no way any body could break that seal!"

Macaque started ignoring her, his brows furrowed together. He was headed to the stone palace but changed his mind. He gently removed Meiying from his shoulder and placed her on the ground.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to do some research...."

Meiying waisted no time shifting into a more human form "Macaque stop, there's nothing you can do. You're just gonna get yourself in more trouble!"

"I-I just need to make sure there's no way to get him out" Macaque didn't listen to another word, he slipped away into the shadow's underneath him. The fox sighed, she couldn't help but notice the desperate look in the monkey demon's eyes. She couldn't help but wonder how far Macaque would go for Wukong, how deep was Wukong's hold on his heart. She figured there was only one person she could turn to.

The shadow demon's nose was buried in a school, his brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of it. He had been through three sacred scrolls so far and found nothing on the seal imprisoning his beloved king. He still had several books he could go through and a few more scrolls, once he finished those he would try borrowing a few more from the Jade Palace's library.

"Mihou...."

His ears twitched, he had heard her steps from a mile away "if you're here who is watching the baby?"

"My husband is more than capable, you needed me more" Princess Iron Fan pulled a chair next to Macaque and sat down. She gently pulled the scroll out of his hands.

"....you were a celestial warrior....surely you have an idea how to free him" dull gold eyes looked up into her's, a small hope shining in them.

"That seal was made by Buddha himself....I'm sorry Mihou but you just have to wait" her voice was soft and calm, it was soothing to Macaque's ears.
