Ditched At The Dance

The next morning Jess gets ready for school and she goes out to her bus stop, she didn't mind having to take the bus because her mom had told her at a young age that she would have to wait until shes eighteen to start driving, but today as Jess was waiting for the bus Leo pulls up,

"what are you doing here" Jess asks him,

"i came to pick you up" Leo replies,

Jess gets in the car

"why did you come to pick me up" Jess asks confused,

Leo sighs "i owe you an apology" Leo says frowning,

"for what" Jess asks,

"i ditched you at the dance, and im the one who asked you to come with me" Leo says,

"its fine" Jess says as she starts to blush,

Leo shakes his head in disagreement, but then he looks over and see her cheeks had turned pink,

"why are you so flustered" Leo asks,

Jess blushes more

"i met someone" Jess replies,

"oh really" Leo says,

"yeah but they ran away" Jess says as her smile and her blushing fades away and turns to a frown,

Leo looks at Jess with compassion in his eyes,

"im so sorry Jess" Leo says,

"it's ok" Jess says,

"so who was it" Leo asks,

Jess looks at him nervously thinking about how she couldn't tell him it was a girl, and she can't tell him her name, she decided to tell him nothing,

"i don't know" Jess replies,

Leo looks at Jess

"oh come on tell me her name" Leo says,

Jess looks at Leo with a worried look,

"what makes you think it's a girl" Jess asks,

"Jess i've known your secret for a long time, i just didn't want you to think i was one of those people that find out this kind of secret and goes around telling everyone, i know how your mom feels about it so im not mad that you didn't tell me" Leo answers,

Jess smiles "thank you Leo" Jess says,

Leo smiles "so are you gonna tell me who it is" Leo asks,

Jess smiles "i don't really know who she is, all i know is her name is Rose" Jess says as she blushes,

"Rose" Leo says curiously,

Jess nods, "i've never heard about her maybe shes new" Leo suggested,

"maybe" Jess says as she sighs,

the rest of the car ride was quiet, when Leo and Jess reach the school they go in and head to there first class, unfortunately they don't have the same class first block, they go there separate way, Jess goes to her first class, as she sits at her desk she slouches in her chair, she starts to think about the dance, she smiles when she thinks about Rose, but she frowns when she thinks about her running away, Jess thinks Rose ran away because she regretted the kiss,

Later that day Jess was walking to her last class of the day, as she was walking she seen a familiar face, she looks to the floor when she sees the familiar face, it was Rose, as Jess passed Rose Jess gulped, maybe she didn't recognize me, Jess thought, Jess looks back for a second before turning back around and she continues to walk to her last class, after her last class she starts walking to her locker to get her bag, as shes putting her stuff in her bag she hears a familiar voice,
