The colder months began to set in. The autumn leaves all gone and replaced by dead-looking trees. People starting to bundle up more as he temperatures dropped lower and lower. But for the teenaged scene, this only meant one thing.

Finals.

Nockfell high was swarmed with open textbooks, caffeine to last a person for a lifetime and so much worry and stress that it could practically manifest at any moment now.

(y/n) slammed her locker shut, books in hand and a bag on her back. Walking through the sea of students, she met up with her friends who looked worried at the sight of her.

"Jeez, (y/n). You alright?" Sally Face asked, his eyes showing deep concern for her.

The poor girl needed to pass her maths final as she was on the brink of failing and she refused to go home with a bad grade from fear of her mother. As well as the worry of what was real and fake after the plethora of secrets she found a couple weeks ago.

A sigh escaped her lips, "I've pulled so many all-nighters the past few days. I need to pass this maths final,"

Larry spoke up, "Why not just ask Todd for help? He's a genius,"

(y/n) looked at her tall friend, "He's tutoring half of the grade already. I don't want to put even more stress on him,"

He nodded in agreement at her reason. Another yawn left her lips as she felt her eyes getting heavy, before they shot back up as her body forced them to keep open.

"This isn't healthy, (y/n). You need to get sleep," Ashley pointed out.

"And you need to keep your opinions about my health to yourself, Ash," The girl replied a bit harshly.

Realizing what she said, she sighed again, "Sorry... I'm just not myself right now,"

Ash put a hand on her friend's shoulder, sending a warm friendly smile of acceptance to her. In result, (y/n) put her head on the brunette's shoulder.

Sal watched as his crush mentally struggled. He knew since the day she broke down there was something going on. So just seeing that, combined with the stress of exams and her need to pass, he needed to do something.

"I—I can tutor you," He finally spoke up.

The group looked at him, staying silent as he now mentally regretted as her eyes set upon him.

"Only if you want me to—"

"Oh my god, yes!" (y/n) said, cutting him off in the middle of his sentence.
