After a nice successful meal at the nicest restaurant in town, the group made their way towards where the actual dance was happening at. It was a beautiful reception hall that exceeded the expectations of almost everyone who came.

It was a large room with a white dance floor in the middle and tables on the sides. The tables were decorated with beautiful white cloth and white gardenia's in clear glass vases. In front of it all was a black stage where the DJ was and two plastic crowns sat on a pillow on a pedestal meant for the winners of prom King and Queen. Mediocre pop music played in the background to their dismay, but besides that, the place looked almost good.

"Jesus, Ash... You weren't kidding when you said that prom was going to be big this year..." (y/n) told them, star-struck at how the place looked.

Ashley let out a chuckle, "Come on guys, let's go find a table to put our stuff on,"

Sal had to pull his girlfriend by the hand just to get her to follow along with the others, making (y/n) snap out of her head and walk along with the rest. After putting her bag down, she felt a pair of hands wrap around her waist and looked back to see Ashley with a mischievous look upon her face.

Suddenly, (y/n) was being pulled towards the dance floor, "Ash. Ashley. No— Come on."

"(y/n/n), come on~!" Ashley then laughed as she let go of her friend's waist and held onto her hand.

The two girls then began to dance, along with a couple other students, to the bad music that was booming on the speakers. (y/n) rolled her eyes, giving up and dancing along with Ashley with happy grins on both their faces. The pair spotted as the rest of their group joined in, having fun on the dance floor.

Around the 5th song, (y/n) felt her head start to pound. A terrible headache arising and felt as if knives stabbed her brain. She managed to balance herself on Sal, which he immediately began to pay attention to her.

"Another headache?" He asked, getting a nod from her in response.

He then looked around, spotting a bathroom not too far from them. Securing his arm around her back and putting her arm around his shoulders, Sally began to haul his girlfriend over to the bathroom.

After retching her guts out for the first time in a while, (y/n) exited out of the stall and washed her hands before cupping them together to drink some water to clean her throat. Just as she finished, the lights flickered and shut off.

A shiver ran down her spine, her hairs standing up as she turned back and was greeted by the same creature that had watched her before. It rose out of the darkness, it's piercing scarlet eyes staring into her soul. She backed up into the sink, looking up at it as her breathing picked up.
