I was packing my bags to spend the night at D, I wasn't thrilled but I promised my dad

"You all packed?"

My dad asked knocking on my door before opening it

"Yea, still can't believe you ain't coming with me"

"Gotta stay and protect the store you'll be alright on your own"

"Yea but will you be?"

"Be fine honey,I'm always fine"

My dad came closer to where I was standing sitting down on my bed

"I want you to have this just in case"

He took out a gun from his pocket

"Woah dad,what you think D ain't gonna have his place loaded?"

"No,I know he will ,but I would hate to think what would happen if for some reason yall got separated and you ended up with no gun"

I took it from his hand and examined it

"Thanks dad"

I gave him a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing my bag n placing the gun in it I was taking an extra bag filled with blankets for Nya

"I'm leaving be safe"

"Oh is D driver outside already?"

"Nah just wanna piss him off n walk"

I walked out closing the apartment door

Here i go into the chaos of the city

There were lots of people hurriedly walking to where ever they were gonna go for the night, people holding up signs what was the worst? the traffic to cross the bridge to Brooklyn the bridges were officially closed no more leaving the island.

I hurriedly walked to the church carrying my overnight bag, and the extra bag of blankets

I entered and there was already a lot of people gathered inside. I saw Nya and Dolores standing in the entrance welcoming everyone

"Elena you made it are you staying?" Nya asked me as Dolores pulled away from the hug she had given me

"Nope just came to drop off some blankets and wish you all luck"

I handed her the trash bag filled with clean blankets

"Thank you so much are you sure you don't want to stay here? isn't your dad gonna be at the store" Nya asked

"Yea I'm not staying home, I'm going to D"

Nya gave me a questionable look

"D?what you gonna do there?"

"Uh my dad making me either this or go to my moms house in Brooklyn so you know"

Nya gave me a knowing look before turning to face the people behind me

"Heyy I did not expect to see you"

There was a mom and daughter with curly hair

"Elena this is Selena n her mom Luisa"

"Hey nice to meet you" Luisa said pulling out her hand for me to shake

I pulled her into a hug as well as her daughter Selena

"So nice to meet you both"

I pulled back feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket pulling it out I see a notification from D
