Sakura stood in the same room with the couple alone
Both of them smiled kindly at her. Which she returned with a gentle smile of her own
"Say, your name is Sakura, right? "
Kayomi asked
Sakura nodded her head, still staring at Sakumo
She just couldn't pass through the similarities between this man and her kaka-sensei
He felt familiar, he felt like home. It has been so long since she felt home. And this man's presence made her cold heart a little warm
His smile and gentle eyes made her naturally comfortable around him
"So, how old are you, baby?"
Kayomi asked
"I am 6 years old, miss"
"Okay! Great! What's your favorite color?"
"Blue... Miss"
Kayomi nodded again
"Okay Sakura-chan, what do you like to do in your free time?"
"I like to bake cookies for my friends and.... I like to read books "
Her answer made Kayomi giggle with excitement. Because ironically, both of their hobbies match. She was so happy to find a girl who was so much alike
"And what do you want to be when you grow up?"
"A doctor"
This time, even Sakumo looked interested. His smile widened a bit
"Oh? That's wonderful. Okay, what are your favorite flowers? How about your favorite food?"
"My favorite flower is the cherry blossoms. And my favorite food is syrup-coated anko dumplings and anmitsu "
Kayomi nodded but she was a little confused
It has been well over 15 minutes since they started to talk to this little girl. But she hadn't stopped looking at her husband even once. Her eyes followed his every move, she could tell that. Which didn't make a lot of sense to her
She thought for a moment before giggling
"Say Sakura-chan, you're staring at my hubby for a long time now.... Does someone have a crush?"
Kayomi giggled, teasing the poor baby girl
Sakumo chuckled too. Looking at Sakura with a raised eyebrow
He had noticed it too. The little girl was staring at him from the time she came into this room. It was a little amusing to his. That's why he was a little quiet, he wanted to see how long she could stare at him
Sakura's eyes went wide and blushed madly. She started to violently shake her head and hastily replying
"That's not true, Kayomi-san. It's just.....
Sakura stopped, looking back at Sakumo. Her eyes softened
"He looks so much like my old sensei.... It's just... I miss my sensei and your husband just seems to look so much like him. That's why I was looking at him. "
She replied before facing Sakumo
"I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable, Ito-san. I really didn't mean it"
She said, bowing her head
Sakumo was pleasantly surprised with this little girl's politeness. She was very soft spoken, he could tell
He chuckled and shook his head
"Mah~ Sakura-chan. It's completely fine"
Sakura's eyes snapped back at him, she looked really surprised
"Can you say that again? Please"
She asked with pleading eyes, making both of them a little surprised and concerned
"Say what? Sakura-chan?"
She shook her head
"Ma Sakura-chan. just like you did now"
Both of them looked at each other before Sakumo said
"Mah~ Sakura-chan."
Sakura smiled, looking at him so fondly it made him a little overwhelmed
"How can two people have so many similarities.... He used to call me like that too... The same eyes, same smile, same hair. It's crazy how much you and kaka-sensei look alike"
Now both Sakumo and Kayomi froze. Staring at her with shock filled eyes
"What did you say?"
Kayomi asked, kneeling down to her level gently grabbing Sakura by her shoulders
Sakura looked at her with confused eyes, tilting her head
"What?"
"You just said your sensei's name"
Sakura nodded
"Yeah, kaka-sensei. That's what we called him. His name isn't kaka-sensei though. His name was kakashi... Hatake Kakashi"
Their eyes went wide as they stared at her in plain disbelief. Their eyes shook with so much shock that Sakura got a little concerned
"Are you okay, Mrs and Mrs Ito?"
She asked, breaking the couple from their shocked daze
Soon Kayomi's eyes teared up as she gently cupped Sakura's chubby cheeks
"Sakura-chan.... Is... Or was your name Sakura Haruno?"
Sakura's heart stopped
Sakura Haruno
It's been so long since she heard that name
But the question that bugged her was how did they know her name? Sakura never met them. Her name wasn't Sakura here in this world, so why did know her?
"Who are you? How did you know my previous name?"
Sakura asked back, her voice quiet as a wisper
Kayomi just brought her closer and gently hugged her. Sakumo also chuckled at the irony. Coming on his knees to face the little girl
"Sakura-chan, I am Sakumo. Previously, I was called Hatake Sakumo. I am your kaka-sensei's father..... That's why we look so much alike "
He said, even he had tears in his eyes
Sakura's eyes dropped, a gentle smile on her face. Her jade green eyes glittering with tears
"That's why..... You felt like home"
This made both of them chuckle, looking at her with so much love.
"Who would've thought that we would meet our Kakashi's student today, nee Sakumo. I always complained how our kakashi looked like you... For the first time, I am actually glad that he does... Or else how would have we found our little Sakura-chan?"
Kayomi said, just then the room door opened and the main mistress came in again
She blinked a few times, seeing Kayomi hug Sakura like that. What was even more surprising to her is Sakura was hugging her back
She chuckled, gaining the attention of the Three
"So, I think I know who you will adopt, Mrs Ito. But I just want you to say it out loud, for formalities "
The couple chuckled, looking at Sakura. Sakumo gently wiped her eyes
"Sakura-chan, would you give us the honer to be your parents? We would love to have you as a family member"
Sakura just nodded with tears in her eyes. Then she rushed forward and wrapped her arms around Kayomi's neck, tightly embracing her
Kayomi just chuckled
"I can't wait to have you as my dear daughter, my little blossom"
