Angelina's POV
Being a light sleeper has its pros and cons. Pros was when I could always hear what my foster parents are planning around my room and I couldn't be jumped when I was asleep but now it's just a nuisance. The people of this house just can't go to sleep. Tell me why they are walking and arguing at 2 in the morning. Don't they have school in the morning?
I couldn't sleep until 3 because that's when everything went quiet.
7 sharp I was awake. I used to be awake at 5 in the morning but because of the flight and the lack of sleep for 3 days, so here we are.
I went to bathroom and did my morning routine. I got dressed in my only shirt remaining and one of the two jeans I had. I wasn't going to repeat yesterday's clothes not wanting to raise any doubts.
I walked to the dining room, before entering I took some deep breathes and walked in.
Alesandro and Matteo were on their seats discussing something. I walked to the place I sat yesterday and muttered a 'good morning'
"Good morning to you too, princess. How did you sleep?" Matteo asked.
Might be because of drowsiness because I actually said, "sleep is a luxury for people who the people around them also do the same."
"Didn't you get sleep last night?" Alesandro spoke and I shook my head knowing well that now I couldn't even lie. I swear I am my own downfall
He was about to ask another question but the boys came in. Everyone said good morning and took their seats. Theodore looked a little pale and because he was sitting next to me.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah I am fine." He said and a cough escaped his lips.
He was coughing like crazy and when I gave him water I touched his hand and boy, he was burning up.
I was about to tell the rest but Gabriella came in with some medicines. She popped two of them kept them on his hand and I poured him more water.
"Now Ella, give me an expaination." Alesandro ordered. He said in a tone that if he used it on me I might faint but Gabriella looked as unfazed as ever.
"I was going to take ice cream and Theo followed me and now he has a fever and a cold." She said
"Theo, why????" Matteo asked
"Gaby was eating alone. And the ice cream looked good." Theodore said in a soft voice before breaking out another cough.
"Ella and Graham, get ready for school. Leo take Theo to the hospital and also take Angel with you. Matteo you have a meeting today and so do I." Alesandro planned out and the nickname didn't escape me.
"Ales, can we also stay. It's a Friday. We dont even do much at school on Fridays either." Graham requested with a bright smile.
"No." Alesandro said and stood up.
"Have a good day." Gabriella wished and Ales nodded and kissed her forehead before moving towards and kissing mine.
These people don't know me for more than a day. Why were they acting like a family to me.
We took Theo to the hospital and the doctor said that he would be okay in a day or two given that we keep everything cold out of his reach. Leo went with the doctor to get the prescribed medicines for Theo leaving us together in the car.
"I am sorry. It's your second day with us and this is what we are doing." Theo said apologetically.
"No it's cool. Why did you eat ice cream at night though?" I asked in curiosity.
"Ella eats ice cream at night so I wanted some too and here we are." He spoke in pure amusement.
"Why does Gabriella eat ice cream at night?" I asked again
"Oh! It's because she is an insomiac. When she eats ice cream she gets atleast 3 hours of sleep." He said and I nodded my head in understanding.
"Are you older than me or younger?" I asked as that was the question I had since last night.
"I am an year older. I was born the same year as Gabriella and Graham just different months."
"I didn't even ask your ages."
"Ales is 26 , Matteo is 24, Leo is 23, the twins are 16, I am 16 and you are 15." He said with a chuckle
"I know my age, silly." I laughed with him. His cough had decreased but his voice was still a little hard.
"We missed you, princess." He said and gave me a side hug.
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Sharing my illness with you." He said and I slapped his hands away. And he let out a big laugh.
"Good to see you two getting along. Now lets go." Leo came and we looked up at him. He had some packages in his hands and I offered to help him.
"No need Angel. I could carry both of you along with these." He said and Theodore laughed
"Are you laughing at me, Theo?"
"No bro. I am laughing at your arrogance." He said and we all let out a bigger laugh. It's easier to laugh around these two.
We went to the mall and they bought me so many clothes, electronics and school supplies. They were spending money like it grows on trees.
"Guys I don't need so many things."
"Its fine. You are our family and these are all yours."
I shook my head and we continued walking. We had so many bags that I thought we were clothing the entire city.
We went home at about 4pm. We ate lunch at the mall so we were plenty full. The house was quiet but getting closer we heard commotion. Leonardo ordered the guards to put the bags in my room and we speed walked to where the noises came from.
