The next morning, William and I were up early, ready to meet with the contractors who would help bring my dream cafe to life. The crisp English air was invigorating as we walked through the charming streets, excitement bubbling between me. We arrived at a quaint coffee shop where William had arranged to meet the contractors. As we entered, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted us, and we found a cozy corner table to wait. Before long, two contractors, David and Emma, arrived, greeting us with warm smiles and firm handshakes. I felt a mixture of nerves and excitement as we all sat down to discuss the project.

I began by sharing my vision, describing the warm and welcoming atmosphere I want to create. "I imagine soft pastels and earthy tones, with cozy nooks for reading and a menu featuring fresh, homemade dishes," I explained passionately.

David and Emma listened intently, nodding in agreement. "That sounds wonderful, Adaline," David said. "We can definitely help you bring that vision to life. Let's go over the details of the layout and design."

William chimed in with supportive comments, helping to clarify and expand on my ideas. We all discussed everything from the layout of the seating area to the design of the counter and kitchen. Emma sketched out some preliminary designs, and my excitement grew as I saw my dream taking shape on paper.

"This is exactly what I envisioned," I said, my eyes sparkling with joy.

The meeting continued with discussions about the timeline and budget, and I felt reassured by the contractors' professionalism and enthusiasm. As they wrapped up, David and Emma promised to send over detailed plans and estimates within the week. We all shook hands again, and I felt a surge of gratitude and hope. Walking back to William's flat, I couldn't stop smiling.

"I can't believe this is actually happening," I said, looking at William with a mixture of amazement and gratitude.

"Thank you." William smiled back, his eyes full of warmth.

"I'm just glad I can be a part of it, Adaline. Your dream is going to be incredible."

After the meeting with the contractors, William noticed the gleam of excitement in my eyes.

"How about we do something special to celebrate?" he suggested, a playful smile on his lips. "Remember how you mentioned wanting to see Big Ben when we were on the plane?"

"Yes." I said, I glanced at William, who was looking at me with a gentle smile, and I couldn't help but compare him to Jackson. Jackson had always been so absorbed in his own world, never truly listening to me, always wanting things his way. Conversations with him had felt like a battle, my words often lost in the noise of his ego. But with William, it was different. He listens, he cares, and he makes me feel seen. I’m starting to feel a connection with him.

With a sense of adventure, we set off toward one of London's most iconic landmarks. The journey was filled with laughter and light-hearted conversation, the anticipation building as we approached Westminster.

As we walked along the Thames, the grand silhouette of Big Ben came into view, standing tall and majestic against the bustling cityscape. My eyes widened in awe. "It's even more impressive in person," I said, my voice filled with wonder.

William chuckled. "I thought you'd like it. There's something timeless about it, isn't there?" We stood there for a while, soaking in the history and beauty of the clock tower. The sound of the bells chiming the hour added a magical touch to the moment.

We continued our walk, crossing Westminster Bridge and taking in the sights around us. The Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and the lively atmosphere of the city enchanted me. William pointed out various landmarks, sharing interesting tidbits and stories, making me feel like I was experiencing the heart of London through his eyes.
