VILLAGE OF SHADOWS

They walk down the long, narrow, dark hallways of his Factory

They turn down a hall and enter the main foyer of the factory, a large room filled with complicated machinery, some small and some large. Metal scraps scattered all along the floor, this room had tall, large windows that extended outwards to the sides similar to Cathedral windows letting a large amount of natural light into the large, open room

They reach the front doors, he opens them

Cold wind immediately seeping through

She holds onto the edges of her hood so the wind doesn’t blow down her hood

“I should have given you gloves to, damn it.”

Karl grumbled under his breath before he takes off his own gloves before taking them to her, a look of surprise crosses her face she looks up at him as if asking

“Are you sure?”

“Just fucking take them damn it!” She sighs before taking the gloves and slips them on before they take their leave into the snowy landscape, he closes the door behind them

He leads her over to stables, where only one horse resides in the large stables beside the Factory

It’s a large, black draft horse, with a long dark mane and tail

She had to say, the horse fit him, gave off him vibes

“What’s the horse's name?” Genesis asks out of curiosity, she slowly makes her way over to the stall with Karl. He smiles a bit looking at the steed with a strange look of fondness as he holds out his hand. The horse instantly moving to rub its face against his open palm, the horse nickers softly sounding content at the affection

“Steel, his name is Steel.” She couldn’t help but giggle at the name and Karl shoots her a dirty look seemingly offended thinking she’s making fun of Steel’s name

“What? There’s nothing wrong with his name!” He scoffs

Genesis giggles more

“I’m not making fun of his name I promise, it fits him, I just think it’s ironic is all. You named him that on purpose didn’t you?” She smirks, her dark eyes looking up at Karl appearing amused

Karl grunts a bit

“Maybe.” He admits, and she started laughing softly

He playfully rolls his eyes towards the brunette, gently pushing her aside as he opens Steels stall

He walks through and starts to put on his tack

The brunette watches, peeking into the stall curiously at the large draft horse

Karl sees this and chuckles
