Ivory and Steel

"How does somebody write like they're running out of time?" The brunette thinks to herself, twirling a pen around and in between her nimble fingers as she stares down at her laptop screen in front of her. "Simple- bleed unto paper. Don't think too much about it, just write what feels right." She's 20, has been writing since she was 11 and still has to remind herself not to doubt her capabilities

Her chocolate brown eyes stay glued to the screen before a long breath of frustration leaves her lips, but sometimes- she wishes her little pep talks worked better but they don't. She loves writing, don't get her wrong, it's her entire purpose other than reading then archery and gaming but other than that... Writers block is always a dark cloud

A long shaky sigh leaves her light pink lips before she closes her laptop, she looks up and over at her TV, an Xbox settled down beside the TV. "Well all hope isn't lost now is it? How about some Resident Evil Village you damn simp." She thinks to herself before laughing out loud at her hilarious mental monologue. "Such a main character vibes, Genesis." She stands to her feet going over to her TV and her Xbox turning both of them on. Grabbing her Resident Evil Village game opening the case and slips the disc inside before grabbing her controller and she grins a bit

"To see Karl Heisenberg again." She mumbles under her breath, the lighting of the TV making her look twelve times paler than she already is. She's the definition of ghostly pale, she turns back around and sits down on her bed going to the main menu of REV and starts the game

The intro starts with Ethan, Mia, and Rose and then when Chris swoops in and then the crash- "and so it begins..." Genesis thinks to herself a small smirk crossing her face, she's always oddly comforted by her own mental monologues- she blames it on her writer side, she really wants to believe that she is the main character. Yes she's delusional, it's her trademark.

She effortlessly gets through the whole beginning of Ethan being stuck in the village, absolutely speedrunning to the part he gets to the servant tunnels into Castle Dimitrescu where he is stopped by metal bending daddy as- many other more crazier fangirls of his love to refer to him as.

Her dark eyes gleam with satisfaction at one of Karl's most iconic quotes

"Well, well.... Didn't think anyone was left... You must be pretty tough, huh?"

"If only I was Ethan right now." She laughs to herself a bit, she jumps when she hears a loud strike of thunder that rumbles her entire house- even know it was light outside the surroundings lit up like the most largest firework went off

"Holy shit!" She yells, the lights flicker like crazy and her TV screen starts glitching. She looks at her screen and looks panicked. "Don't tell me this TV is gonna get fried like the other one... Grandma's gonna whoop my ass." She thinks to herself before gulping, rain started pouring outside like it was an absolute monsoon. The wind and rain howls outside her house and her anxiety sparks

All of her family, her grandmother, grandpa, mom, two little sisters and her step dad were gone- it was just her. "Hopefully they're okay, I checked my weather app today it didn't say that there would be any storms-" She flinches at another loud crack of thunder, bright lightning flashing outside her room causing the lights to flicker and her TV to glitch again

Her Xbox wasn't sounding too great either, shit sounded like it was about to implode any minute. Violent storms like this really made her panic, "get off your ass to turn some shit off then!" She mentally yells at herself, her hand gripping her controller. "You damn fucking pussy." She thinks to herself again a deep scowl crossing her facial expressions

She grits her teeth, her sharp jawline clenches, more cracks of thunder, more flashes of lightning, then rain and wind still at it's peak while she's frozen watching everything glitch the fuck out. Why couldn't she move? It's like she was paralyzed, suddenly she felt almost electricity tracing along her skin like spiders or cobwebs were trailing all across her skin

Her body stung a bit, like scorpions were stabbing their sharp tails into her skin- she still couldn't move. "What the hell!? MOOOVVVEEE" She mentally yells to herself attempting to move any of her limbs- but she couldn't. The lights continue to flicker, now her TV suddenly bluescreens and her Xbox quite literally explodes. There was a louder crack of lightning that sounds just above her-

A bright light fills her eyes, for a second she felt a burning sensation all over her then- just darkness, just cold, she felt like she was drifting. And then there was nothing
