Throughout the next minutes or even perhaps hours, (Y/n) tried her best to avoid any confrontation with any other low power level winged demons. With a sleepy Nezuko in her arms, the last thing she wanted was to fight one handily.
As she passed from allay to allay, she noticed something unusual. Winged demons were attacking and killing other demons on the streets.
Now, it wasn’t uncommon for demons to fight over territories but this seemed like a one sided war.
(Y/n) jumped slightly when she heard loud noises and in a hurry she tried her best to cover Nezuko's ear to block out the sound as much as possible.
Looking at the red sky, she noticed fireworks akin to the ones usually released on the new year's day.
The pinknette noticed the winged monsters retreat in the sky where a golden portal seemed to open. It didn't take long for her to realise that the fireworks signalled the end of their attack.
(Y/n) continued to walk cautiously through the streets, keeping an eye out for any signs of danger. She knew that there were other demons out there who wouldn't hesitate to attack, and she needed to protect Nezuko at all costs.
She wondered what this place was. It was overflowing with demonic presence even though demons were believed to be solitary creatures.
A shiver run down her spine just by the thought of this place being Kibutsuji's lair.
