"You know, you don't have to walk me back home, right?" Ruka said, the morning sun casting a warm glow on her features as she strolled beside Kiba, Akamaru trotting happily at their side.
Kiba rolled his eyes playfully. "What kind of boyfriend do you think I am if I let you walk home alone after we.." He cleared his throat, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Besides, I'm not ready to be apart from you again!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace.
As they approached her clan house, Kiba hesitated to release her, his hands lingering on her waist. "If only I could just stay with you all day," he sighed wistfully.
He cherished these moments together, savoring every second of her presence. The thought of letting go filled him with a sense of longing, a desire to hold onto her for just a little while longer.
Ruka chuckled softly, gently extricating herself from his grasp. "We both have responsibilities, remember? You with the Military Force and me with my duties as well."
Kiba pouted, reluctantly withdrawing his hands. "I have to deal with Kotaro-san," he grumbled, frustration evident in his voice.
Meanwhile, Ruka couldn't help but admire the adorable pout on Kiba's face as he reluctantly withdrew his hands. She found his unwavering affection endearing, a reminder of just how deeply his love for her. Despite his tough exterior, she knew that beneath it all, he was just as lovesick as she was, unable to bear the thought of being apart from her.
Ruka reached up to caress his cheek, her touch tender and reassuring. "Hey, he's being tough on you because he knows you have the potential," she said softly, offering him a supportive smile.
Kiba sighed, leaning his forehead against hers. "I hate that you're always right. Why are you always right?" he muttered, a mixture of admiration and exasperation in his tone.
Ruka chuckled, teasingly considering his question. "Hmm, maybe because I'm smarter than you?" she teased, a playful glint in her eyes.
Kiba shot her a mock glare before his expression softened, his lips curving into a fond smile. Leaning in, he captured her lips in a tender kiss, their affection for each other palpable in the gentle meeting of their lips.
As Ruka and Kiba parted from their affectionate embrace, they were interrupted by the sudden appearance of Konohamaru,
Ruka's younger brother, who sported a look of disgust at the sight before him.
"Ugh, gross," Konohamaru muttered, wrinkling his nose in distaste as he witnessed his older sister making out with her boyfriend.
Ruka glanced at Konohamaru with a smile, unfazed by his reaction. "Hey there, Ko-chan. Did you just get back from a mission?" she asked, her tone casual as she addressed him.
Konohamaru nodded, still wearing a look of mild annoyance. "Yeah, I'm hungry," he replied shortly, his stomach rumbling audibly as if to emphasize his point.
Ruka chuckled softly, patting his shoulder affectionately. "Alright, I'll whip up something for you," she said, turning to Kiba. "Sorry, Kiba, duty calls. I'll see you later?"
Kiba nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. "Of course, . I'll see you soon," he replied, watching as Ruka walked into the Sarutobi clan house with Konohamaru following closely behind.
Once they were out of earshot, Konohamaru paused and shot a glare in Kiba's direction, his annoyance evident in his demeanor. Without a word, he turned on his heel and walked away, leaving Kiba puzzled by the sudden change in attitude.
"What's that chibi's problem?" Kiba muttered to himself, raising an eyebrow in confusion as he watched Konohamaru disappear from view.
