As Gaara and Ruka on their journey towards the nearby village, the landscape stretched out before them, bathed in the soft hues of the setting sun.

Occasionally, Ruka stole glances at Gaara, his stoic demeanor as he led the way with silent.

"Um... I didn't know that you as a Kazekage would be taking on missions like this," Ruka ventured, her voice tinged with curiosity as she broke the silence between them.

"I usually don't," Gaara responded, his tone calm yet tinged with solemnity. "But when children are involved in experiments, it becomes my responsibility to take action."

"I suppose Kankuro will be managing affairs in the village while we're away?" Ruka inquired, her eyes scanning the horizon as they continued their journey.

"Yes," Gaara confirmed, his reply concise and to the point.

Ruka couldn't help but release a deadpanned sigh, her thoughts swirling with uncertainty. "He doesn't talk much," she mused internally, a hint of exasperation coloring her thoughts. "How am I going to survive this mission with him?"

As they reached the outskirts of the village, Ruka's attention was drawn to the bustling streets lined with quaint houses and bustling market stalls. Families with young children bustled about, their laughter and chatter filling the air with a sense of warmth and vitality.

Observing the scene before her, Ruka couldn't help but feel a pang of apprehension. This village was unlike any she had encountered before. It was brimming with life, teeming with families going about their daily routines. But amidst the lively atmosphere, Ruka couldn't shake the feeling of being out of place.

Unlike the other families in the village, she and Gaara stood out like a sore thumb. They didn't resemble a typical couple with a child, and she couldn't shake the feeling that they would attract unwanted attention.

Glancing at Gaara, who walked beside her with his usual stoic demeanor, Ruka couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that blending in would be a challenge, especially in a village where everyone seemed to know each other.
