Chapter 14
"You have a visitor." The guard said after opening the cell's door.
"A visitor?" He tilted his head to the side, a visitor? His friends are inside the same cell, the only person that comes to his mind is the big guy, Jerry Kwon.
"That might be Jerry, Boss Jake." His bald friend and cellmate, Brad Lee, said.
"Did he forget something? He just went to visit me yesterday." Jake asked his two friends who were just as clueless as him. He just shrugged it off and stretched his hand out so that the officer could put him in handcuffs.
He just walked mindlessly, following the officer in front of him until they arrived at the destination. The place where they receive usual visits was silent, lacking the usual amount of people aside from one. Her back was facing him, the figure that he knew so well after years of being apart. Her body might've become more mature, but he knew that (h/c) hair, he knew that figure, he knew you.
It was like he was back to three years ago when you patiently waited for him in front of his school, despite being scared of the place because the students looked like gangsters and according to you, you don't like gangsters. Yet, you still ignored your fears just because you missed him.
"What brings you here, Ms. (Y/N)?" He grinned, trying to tease you by calling you with honorifics.
"What happened?" You asked, not looking at him.
"Hm?" His face looked at you in confusion, "What do you mean what happened? I fooled people into online illegal betting, now, here I am!" He said, lightening up the conversation because he couldn't understand why you were so gloomy.
"I didn't come here for your nonsense, Jake Kim." You turned your head in his direction, and he stopped in his tracks as he saw your serious face. "Why didn't you tell me?" You asked once again, making him confused. "Why didn't you tell me you knew me, or I knew you?" Your eyes watered, feeling betrayed. His eyes widened in shock, you remember him now? He was so happy but also sad that he had to face you like this, like the man he promised not to be.
