The following day at school, I was placing my binders into my locker when a figure suddenly leaned on the locker next to me.

"Hello, Haylie." Marcus beamed at me, I sighed and turned to face him.

"What do you want?" I cast him a rather suspicious look as I closed my locker.

"Damn Haylie, you wound me." He really dramatically clutched his heart. "Can't I just spend some time with my friend without having a superior motive?"

"Have you met yourself?" I rolled my eyes and started walking down the hallway not feeling like eating in the cafeteria and bumping into Spencer or Cassandra. With Marcus trailing after me sort of like a lost puppy, I was headed towards the main entrance.

He childishly stuck out his tongue before guiding me into the direction of the cafeteria.

"Nuh uh." I spun around. "I'd rather spend time somewhere else today."

"Where do you usually spend lunch?"

"It depends. Some days, I just lock myself in the washroom when I don't feel like dealing with anyone, in the library or I often even go to Macdonald's, KFC, Chick fil a or Chipotle." I listed off.

"Wow, that's just.. wow." He smiled, though it looked like a grimace.

"Sad and weird, I know. Sometimes I enjoy my own company more than others." I cheerfully said. "Well, I gotta get going."

"Ah, ah, ah, not today little miss." Marcus grinned widely. "I definitely think it's time to formally introduce you to Enzo and Keith.

"I'm not quite sure about that-"

"Too late."

He opened the doors to the cafeteria and fvcking dragged me in there.

"Marcus, if you don't let go of me right now."

If Malcolm heard me, which I was quite certain that he did, he didn't let it show. We reached the table, which was conveniently in the center of the cafeteria. Keith had previously been placing a forkful of salad into his mouth, though he froze when his eyes landed on me.

I was the one grimacing now.

"Keith!" Marcus grinned at the dark skinned guy as we reached the table. "This is Haylie!"

"Yeah, Marcus, I know." Keith spoke slowly. "Unfortunately we've already met."

I stood there uncomfortably.
