Molly

For the past of couple of days I've been taking care of of my family. I've been replaying what 

Maddy said. Am I that ugly? I shook my head no. No I am not going to give up on my dreams 

because of what someone said. My dream is to be a model so I'm going to chase it. Nothing is 

going to get in my way. I'm not going to lie I meant what I said and I started to work on myself 

mentally and physically. But what she said was in the back of my mind. By the time Tuesday was 

around I got dress and waited for Sophia while I was in the car. She got out and ran to the car. 

"Took you long enough." "Sorry I just got off the phone with a journalism job." I drove off. "Did 

you get the job?" "Yeah I told them that once I'm done with collage they want me immediately." 

"Oh wow. Where is it? Its it in Oklahoma". "There is but not in the city." She looked down. I didn't 

want to get myself distracted so i kept my eyes on the road. "Are you sure? There should be  

some in Bricktown." She shook her head. There's none here. But I found one that I'm looking for 

but it's a long ride from here?" "How many minutes 20? 30?" "An hour and 30 minutes." I slam 

my on the break. "Molly are you crazy? You could have hurt us!" "Why there." She sigh. "I have no

 choice. The job that I found is still in Oklahoma but I would be in Tulsa." I looked down.  Molly 

sooner or later you're going to move out to California." "I know and I didn't mean to scare you.

 I'm just... going to miss you." "I know." We both hug and I continue to drive. "So... how many 

months until you graduate? " "Three months." I sigh. "When are you going to tell mom?"

 "I told her it was the day that you come down and it was like 1pm." "That's why mom was talking  

about watching a movie together." "Yeah she was heartbroken but she understands." "Do you 

have enough money to move out?" "Yeah, I've been working since I was 16 and when I was 18 I 

became manager at Fun Fast Food place. I still can't believe that people still eat at that place. I 

rather eat at the Chum Bucket from SpongeBob." We both laugh. We made it and we both went 

to our job. I walked in and said hi to Rachel but ignore me. I clocked in and start working. There 

were about 100 boxes that needed to be unpack. I sigh. I remember what Alex told me and did 

what he said. I had to unbox, short them by size, clothing, color, and accessories. Then check 

them off and write down what we are low on and call the factory for stock ups. I started working 

and hours went by and I heard someone coming in. I heard someone calling for Alex. "Hey Alex 

where are you?" I turn around and saw a guy with glasses looking at me. "Oh uh hey you must be new."

He shook my hand. "Yeah and you must be looking for Alex. "Yeah I though he was here 

today. I came back from vacation and wanted to show him some photos that I took." He took out

 his phone and show me photos of him on the beach, surfing, and skateboarding. "Wow can you

 teach me how to surf and skate." "Heck yeah. Oh and I'm Max by the way." "Molly." "Molly?" 

"Yeah my mom was a big fan of the movie 'The breakfast Club' and love one of the actress." "Is it

 a good movie?" Yeah, hey what time is it?" He check his phone. "Uh it's 3:40." My eyes almost

 pop out of my socket. "3:40? I was support to be on break 10 minutes. How come Rachel didn't

 say i could go on break?" I sat down on one of the box. Putting my hands on my head. I know

 why. "Here I'll tell Rachel while you go on break. I gave him a small smile. "Thank you."

She left and I went to Rachel. "Hey Rachel, Molly went on break." She look confuse. "who?" I

 sigh. "Molly. The girl that works in the back." "Oh yeah tell her that she can go on break or 

whatever." "Where's the manager?" "Um you're talking to her. Maddy said that I'm the new 

manager now." "what happen to the other one?" "Uh she quit. So now I'm in charge."  "How are 

you in charge you're always on your phone? "Uh my aunt runs this place duh. She put her 

earbuds in and continue ignoring me. I roll my eyes and clock in.
