My name is Brooke Armstrong, pretty ordinary, huh? Well, anyways, I sort of I live a double life (nothing like Hannah Montana).

At school, I'm a loser; I'm quiet, I get bullied, and I'm kind of a loner. At home, I'm the princess; I live in a big house, I get to do pretty much anything I please. However, the one thing that I don't have is a phone or a laptop. In my opinion, it's completely stupid, but my parents don't agree with me having social media or electronics. Me OR my younger twin brothers, Matt and Nick.

"Brooke, please come downstairs for a few minutes!" My mom shouted.

I rolled my eyes, and jogged down the stairs, tripping at the bottom.

"Smooth," I heard, from behind me,

"shut up, Nick," I muttered.

We walked into the living room together, chattering about what our mom wants to tell us.

"Daddy!" I squealed, spotting my dad sitting next to my mom at the table.

He has crazy hours, since he is a surgeon, he's on call all the time, and it's uncertain when he'll be home. Suddenly, I panicked; MY PARENTS ARE AT THE TABLE, THEY AREN'T ON THE COUCH. It's a known fact in my house, that if our parents aren't sitting on the couch, they have big news.

"Are you pregnant?!" Matt blurted out, causing my parents to go ashen.

"Of course not," my mom said as calmly as possible.

"But we do have big news," everyone tensed up,

"We're moving to North Carolina," my mother beamed.

"WHAT?!" My brothers shouted, as I easily sat back in my chair, and examined my nails, wearing a lazy smile.

"Cool," I piped up, as my brothers turned to me, their jaws dropping.

Unlike me, they were living an 100% perfect life. They were both on the football team, huge surfers, and beyond popular. Nick was dating Annie, the most popular girl in school, and one of the few people that are actually nice to me, I'll miss her.

Matt, on the other hand, is the school's biggest bachelor, all the girls obsess over him. The boys protested, and I swear I saw Nick shed a tear. They're only rising freshman, it's not like they're getting married or anything. I, on the other hand, am going into the 1oth grade. This could be good, no, this will be good. I've been looking for an escape, and we finally got one. Maybe I'll find a cute guy, or maybe not. I'm not going to let myself be a loner though, I'm not going down that road again.
