*Brooke's POV*

I ran up to my new room, and I scanned my wardrobe, which had been put together already. Casual, but not too casual. I frowned a little, as I heard my mom yelling at me to get out of the house. I screamed back, telling her I needed a change of clothes. I grabbed some of the makeup I keep in my purse, and my Michael Kors watch. I continued rifling through my closet, until I settled on a baby pink t shirt, with acid washed high waisted shorts. I let my hair down, revealing a cascade of messy curls. I reapplied my concealer, and touched up my eyeliner. My wing looks pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself. I looked myself in the mirror and started chanting a silent mantra in my head. Matt and Nick walked in the room, and sat on the ground.

"What's up, hot shot?" Nick teased, I got nervous.

I've only ever had one boyfriend, and even though my brothers are younger than me, they're still protective. I saw their eyes darken and their arms tensed up.

"Who's the guy?" Matt clenched his jaw.

I told them about Nash, and their faces relaxed by the time I was done telling my story. They whispered to themselves, leaving me to play with the carpet.

"We're walking you over," they said in unison, it's a twin thing.

"What? No," I protested that's not fair! "I'm a big girl now, ok?"

They both laughed.

"What?" I grew confused, what's so funny? Then, I got mad.

"Brooke, we aren't making fun of you, but we're guys, when we like a girl, we obsess over her. I mean, we just want to check him out, ok?"

I realized that they were only trying to help, so I agreed to let them come along.

"So how old is he?" Matt chirped, I knew this wasn't going to go down well. I looked down,

"He's, um, seventeen," I mumbled lowly,

"Are you kidding?" Nick asked.

"No," I rushed, "but he started school late, so he won't graduate until he's nineteen,"

I rambled on and on quietly, about how it's not that big of a deal.

"Older guy, we're definitely taking you,"

I rolled my eyes, but followed them out of the house. Here we go.

*Nash's POV*

I think I like that girl, Brooke. She's different, and she's beautiful. I'm kind of worried that she'll like Hayes, though, since they're the same age. I know he's with Meredith, but I have a feeling she can get most guys. I wonder if she knows we're famous, I'm not going to tell her, she may stop liking me if I do. If she likes me at all. I heard a knock at the door, and I heard Duke go wild, he's a German shepherd. As I answered the door, with Duke bounding down the stairs, and Delia in between my feet.

"Brooke," I grinned, looking down at her, she's tiny.

"Hi, Nash," she giggled, and leaned in to hug me.

I looked up, and realized there were two boys standing at about 6 feet, behind her. If I wasn't tall myself, I might've been intimidated. They both smiled when we pulled away, and they introduced themselves as Nick and Matt, her younger twin brothers. Younger?! They seem very protective, we continued talking for around 10 minutes, and then invited them in for dinner. I saw Brooke glare at Matt, and mouthed something to Nick.

"Geez, we're leaving, we're leaving," they rolled their eyes at her.

I have a feeling they don't like sharing their sister. I have a feeling I'll be good friends with Nick. We closed the door behind us, and I watched her begin to fumble with her hair.

"Dinner won't be ready for another hour, so do you want to hang out or watch tv," I suggested, she paused for a second.

"Let's talk," she decided.

I agreed and we decided to go up to my room. We left the door open, and sat on the floor together. It's funny how we keep ending up on the ground together. She told me about her old school, and how she was bullied. I told her about how much she'll love North Carolina.

*Brooke's POV*

"Do you have a restroom?" I asked, and he nodded, giving me instructions to go down the hall.

I came to two doors, one was probably a bedroom. I wasn't sure which was the bathroom, so I opened the door on the left. I quickly realized that I made a mistake, when I saw Hayes and Meredith kissing on his bed. Typical teenage couple. I stood in the doorway, and stared in shock for a moment. Hayes broke the kiss, and averted his eyes to me. I immediately grew uncomfortable, and knew my cheeks were undeniably turning crimson.

"Um, I, uh," I stuttered, struggling to come up with a coherent sentence.

Hayes squinted his eyes at me, while Meredith's fingers tapped away at her phone.

"Were you watching us," he asked.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry I walked in looking for the bathroom, and-" I got cut off by Nash calling my name, and stopping at the door, his eyes darkened.

"I thought you had to go to the bathroom," he mumbled.

"She did, she couldn't find it," Hayes smirked, replying for me.

Nash pulled me out of the doorway, and opened the bathroom door for me, informing me that his mom was almost done with dinner. Why was Nash upset all of the sudden?

*Hayes' POV*

I stared at Meredith, she's hot and all, and she's really sweet, but our relationship is too stereotypical. It's like she doesn't have a single flaw, it's boring. Brooke or Brooklyn or whatever, she's pretty cute, though. Nash is interested in her, but I don't really care, I'm her age, I could get her if I wanted to. My thoughts were interrupted, by Nash dragging me down the hall to his room.

"Dude, lay off," I rolled my eyes, he needs to chill.

"Don't tell me what to do," he scoffed, if you think I'm a jerk, you should see him in his natural state.

"You're not good for her Hayes, so lay off," I laughed, "Define not good enough, because millions of girls would adore being with me."

He nervously scanned the room, and quickly shut the door.

"She doesn't know," I cocked my head, "She has no idea who we are," he grew angry, I could see it in his eyes, he was about to reach his breaking point.

"SHUT UP, HAYES! IT DOESN'T MATTER, OK?!" he screamed at me.

"But Nash, who are you to say I'm not good enough, I'm not the one lying about who I am," he went pale,

"You're right, but don't you dare lay a finger on her, she's mine," Is he being serious, right now?

"She's yours? Dude, first off you met her a few hours ago. Second, she's not an object, until you guys date, she doesn't belong to you," I said it swiftly, storming out of the room, running straight into none other than Brooke.
