*Brooke's POV*

•TWO WEEKS LATER•

These past two weeks have been fantastic, I've made so many new friends, and Hayes just made it so much better. I really like him, a lot, he's had dinner with my family three times already, and my parents love him. I just wish he'd realize just how much I like him. Nash has apologized to Hayes and I, since the big argument. Of course, Hayes hasn't let it go, because he's stubborn.

"What do you want to do for your birthday?" my mom asked me, sitting down at the table with me.

Hayes was sprawled out on our couch watching Disney channel, and he popped his head up over the couch, to listen to me.

"I don't know, just a few friends, and we can hang out in the pool, and then we can all just order some pizzas, and have a movie marathon."

Hayes got a dazed look in his eyes, and nodded, "Yeah, do that."

I rolled my eyes, teasing, "What makes you think, I'm inviting you?"

I smirked. My mom swatted my arm.

"Brooke Alexis!" My mom gasped, "Of course, you're coming Hayes," he grinned and crawled off the couch,

"I know," he squeezed me around the shoulders, and licked my cheek.

Oh no, he didn't.

"Mom, did you see that," I screamed, pushing a giggly Hayes off of me.

She shrugged her shoulders, "It's because he loves you," he smiled and nodded. "Now, let's talk about what you want," my mom said pulling out a notebook. "I have a feeling this is going to be a birthday for catch up, since you're so mature now."

"Mom, I'd like to get a dog," her jaw dropped.

"What kind?"

You see, I've been researching a few breeds, I think I want a Golden Retriever.

"A golden retriever puppy, but it has to come from the shelter," my mom nodded,

"Don't you think your brothers would want a dog?"

I shrugged. "Mom, if I get this dog, I want it to be just for me," she nodded.

"I don't mind sharing with the boys, I'd just rather have something of my own."

My brothers love dogs, but I know for a fact that they'd rather have guinea pigs, or something like that. I know, it's weird.

It was four hours later, and Hayes was still here. I sat on the ground in front of him, as he attempted to French braid my hair. I've learned so much about him in the past few weeks.

"Let's play twenty questions," I nudged his leg lightly.

"Thanks a lot, B," he groaned, and slouched into the couch.

I hopped up on the couch, and pushed his hair back, laughing, "What did I do?"

He rolled his eyes, "You messed me up."

I realized that his hands were still in my hair, and he quickly untangled them. We continually found ourselves in weird situations like this one. We snuggled up into a comfortable position my legs in his lap. Questions flew back and forth between us.

"Will you go on a date with me tonight?" Hayes fiddled with his fingers, avoiding eye contact with me.

"What kind of date?"
