Shut up and hold me - Aiden/Ashlyn

It was one of those days,

The type of day that absolutely drains you from any physical capability.

The type of day that makes your legs want to give out and drop you to the ground.

So asking somebody to help you out isn't that bad..right?

Ashlyn's P.O.V

I texted Aiden to come over, it wasn't like he wouldn't do so on his own anyway.

I couldn't even bother to get underneath my covers, I was simply laying on my comforter. Today was a hard day, I'm not gonna pretend like it wasn't. However I'm not going to act as if there's things that can't fix it, or— make it suck less?

.

It took a little while, much longer than he normally takes, for me to hear three knocks from my window. I'd already told him it was open, so I don't really understand why he would still knock. Maybe he didn't wanna scare me.

The corners of my mouth twitch up thinking about it.

I lull my head to the side, watching as my window slid up. Revealing a silly smiling boy. He pushed away my curtains, and hopped into the barely lit room.

His smile grows once we make eye contact, but before Aiden does anything, he whips around and shuts the window. Locking it as well.

When Aiden turned back around to face me, his eyes softened slightly.

"Hey ash," making his way to my bed, he slowly lowers himself on the edge.

"Hi Aiden."

Silence,

Is he really gonna make me ask for this?

I fling my arms out, catching his attention. "Are you?—" he eyes me up and down, "are you inviting me to lay down with you?" I hesitantly nod, feeling my face grow slightly hotter. He gasps dramatically, "awe" he laughs a little, not long after he drops himself right next to me, right in my arms.

I slowly bring my arms close to me, pulling him in.

I'm not big on physical touch, he knows this.

But that doesn't mean that there aren't times when I want it, I know Aiden's love language is touch, so imagining him, this is probably making him feel giddy—or..something like that.

He places his arms loosely around my waist, "is this okay?", I hug him in tighter for a second, "it's perfect." I whisper quickly, I want to go to sleep as fast as possible.

.

I guess it's not really helping,

It feels weird for Aiden to be this quiet. I don't really like it, it's unusual. My hand was already caressing his hair, so I ruffled it slightly.

His head pops up to look at me, as if asking me 'what's going on?' With just his eyes.

Suddenly, I'm faced with a certain conflict. I can feel my face heat up, while his ruby red eyes pour into mine.

"Can you..uhm.." I whisper softly, "can you— can you talk?" I speak a little louder, "I think hearing you ramble about nothing is a little more comforting than silence." I say quickly, making my best effort to try and not make eye contact, looking at everything in my room except for him.

I hear a small chuckle come from the boy with me, "that's sweet of ya' ash," his arms tighten a little around me, yet..it feels more comfortable rather than suffocating.

"I'd be glad to annoy you, I mean that's what I do best."

I look down towards him, Aiden's smile is wide, but charming.

Blondie doesn't take long before starting off about his day. His voice is low, almost drowsy.

I thread my fingers through his, unnecessarily soft hair. Letting my shoulders loose, I let my body relax, leading the tenseness from earlier to rest.

My eyelids droop down, I can tell that I'm struggling to stay awake, the feeling wasn't new.

Before I succumb to sleep, I take my hand, dragging it lazily over to Aiden's face. He stops his words, meeting my eyes.

Oh my god, his eyes are gorgeous.

Even though the red may be contacts, he never fails to look so.. pretty? I Guess..

I can feel a smile pull at my lips, because the last thought on my mind when I first met Aiden, was absolutely not based on his features.

I lean down, and give him a small peck on his cheek. He smiles,

"ash! I never knew you were so cheesy.."his smile brightens, and he lays his head back down in my chest. "I feel pretty betrayed" he muffles,

a giggle rips itself from my throat. It wasn't forced, but it was a sound to signal that I heard him.

"Don't worry," my head falls back into my pillow, I allow my eyes to fall shut once more, basking in the comfort of the dark.

"I wouldn't dream of being cheesier than you," I  drag out the 'dream' to emphasize it.

He glances of me slightly, looking a little more tired than he was originally.

"You better not."
