Sorry for the short chapter. Also, I've finally gotten a drawing tablet, so I'll be adding drawings of my own to my story! If you haven't already seen, I've put two drawings in the prologue so far.
Enjoy!
The man clicked and locked the rest of the restraints, not caring enough to be gentle. With a satisfied smirk, he glanced back at the other grunt, who nodded back to him. The third man watched with creepily amused eyes and was tossed the key, which he pocketed casually. The three left the room, a slight smirk on each of their lips.
After what Chisuke had done, she was sedated by Aibo. The three goons had finally finished with her restraints, which were completely overkill. Jiki had been shocked at the news of what the eight and a half year old had done, and ordered for his subordinates to lock her up. A bit of paranoia was in the air, but the goons didn't feel it.
They laughed amongst themselves, finding some sort of merriment in the child's suffering.
"That stupid brat finally gets a muzzle!" One of them snickered while speaking.
"She was always so insufferable," another chimed in. "What a crybaby. Remember when she started to tear up when we held up that rat caught in the mousetrap in her face? So stupid. It was only a bit bloody, nothing she isn't used to."
"And now she's all chained up. Quirk-repressing gauntlets, a metal muzzle, the works. The old boss really went all out," the first one remarked, snorting.
"So vulnerable..." the third one spoke for the first time, his startling dark blue eyes glinting slightly. A sick grin cracked its way onto his face. "...maybe I should pay her a little visit. Such a pretty girl shouldn't be without some... company."
The other two ignored the antelope-horned man who was mumbling to himself. The blue-eyed man chuckled deeply under his breath as they all walked through the halls, twisting and turning through the building. He added a small remark to himself. "...it's not like she could fight back anyway."
Out of the blue, a loud cracking sound formed above them. Before anyone was able to react, a mass of tangled wood crashed through the ceiling and wrapped around two of the men, one of them able to dodge the root like amalgamation.
At the end of the branch-like system, was Kamui Woods. He jumped through the cracks and hole he made in the ceiling, eyes widening when he saw one of the men had escaped his grip. The man started to activate his quirk, a dangerous energy emanating from him. Kamui was about to call back as a warning-
No need.
A scary, dark-clothed being swung into the room, using a gray scarf as some sort of rope to swing from Kamui's branches. Red light was barely noticeable from behind with yellow goggles, but the man noticed it, his blood running cold. This man was a demon of some kind. He was convinced of it.
Not like him noticing it changed anything. Eraserhead's foot crashed into the side of his head before he could scream, knocking him out.
Once the other two men were handled, Kamui side-eyed Eraserhead. "Wasn't very rational for you, a man who prides himself on rationality, to go through the trouble of knocking that man out, right, Eraserhead?"
"I'd rather have knocked him out than have taken the chance of his quirk possible not being able to be erased by my own," the tired man grunted back stoically, tipping his stubble-covered chin up out of his scarf briefly. "It was perfectly logical of me. And I don't think a tree could grasp the concept of rationality."
Kamui was stunned for a moment, but rolled his eyes. It was better to drop the subject than to engage in an argument with a man who could be compared to a brick wall in terms of emotionality.
The two nimbly ran through the halls, not sure what they were looking for, but knowing that something incredibly sketchy was going on inside of that building. Also, the fact that there was an unregistered underground lab/factory of some kind was reason enough to be suspicious. It wasn't in any of the blueprints, but they were there now...
When the two turned a sharp corner, they crashed into a familiar face. Or, more accurately, stomach.
"Woah, there! Be careful," the large man said, chuckling. He pulled the two out of his pillow-like fat and steadied them gently. He brushed off his yellow and white suit.
"Fat Gum? Is that..." Kamui started unsurely.
"Why do you have a child?" Eraserhead finished bluntly, not choosing his words deliberately.
A teenager about sixteen years old stood behind Fat Gum, wringing his hand nervously. His mouth was like a squiggly line that a child had drawn.
"I-I, um... S-Sun.... Suneat... er..." the teenager with fluffy, bluish black hair tried to stammer out, eventually hiding his face in his hands. He wore a loose costume with a hood, cape, and pouch in the front.
"It's okay, kiddo. Don't worry, I'll do it," Fat Gum said with a grin, ruffling his hair, which only embarrassed him further.
"Explain." Eraserhead had no patience for this matter. He wanted to get this over with.
"This is Tamaki, or Suneater, and he's a second year at your school!" Fat Gum began, trying to lessen the tension by being cheerful and friendly. "He chose me for his work study, and he's really skilled and smart! Although... I admit he lacks self-esteem... I thought this would make good experience for him!"
"So you brought a kid into a place that we have no idea is inside?" Eraserhead clarified.
"Pretty much!"
After a small bit or arguing, Fat Gum finally gave the idea of having Suneater eat some of his rabbit meat, so he could use the rabbit's heightened senses to track where the goons had come from. Eraserhead relented while Kamui nodded. Even though the underground hero(both in his job and currently literally) was usually apathetic, he didn't want a kid to be hurt on the mission. They followed the elf-eared, now rabbit-eared boy as he followed the scent trail, a new rabbit nose on his face twitching. They meandered through the halls and ended up at a locked door made of thick metal.
"Should we break it down?" Kamui asked hesitantly.
"Great idea," Eraserhead said sarcastically.
"Come one, Suneater! You should get some bull horns and ram it down! It would be so cool!" Fat Gum suggested supportively, clearly just wanting to show that the kid was, in fact, strong and worthy of being there. The other two pro heroes rolled their eyes, both of them making the connection of Fat Gum and the type of mother who brags about their kids all the time.
Before they could make a decision, a familiar white-eared rabbit whizzing past at lightning speeds. Her feet cashed into the door, making the metal bend under her brute force. Part of the wall was crushed and pushed down along with the door, a loud creaking and crunching sound resounding from the kick. Suneater squeaked, hiding behind Fat Gum.
"Hey, slowpokes! I beat you! Haha!" Mirko laughed mirthfully, brushing some of the dust off of her smooth brown skin. Her laughter went silent when she turned, seeing a horrible sight. A child? Locked up like a wild animal?
Something was wrong here.
Something truly disgusting.
Fun fact #6: As you can see from how right now Tamaki is a 2nd year, this takes place a year before Deku joins UA. Meaning, Chisuke is too young to be in class 1-A, and will not be joining it.
