The clanking, banging, and stomping sound from the mayor was getting louder, which meant closer. My heart began to beat faster and faster, I didn't think that I could do it. I didn't think that I could get this device, stamped into me. Just the thought of it gave me the chills. I wanted to scream after all that had happened.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! "We---are---here---to---stamp--you." A robot said with a stop between every word. I walked slowly up to the door. I was trembling, I didn't want to go thought the pain and horror of the stamp and the Games. But I had to. I places my hand on the knob and opened it. 7 robot guards came rushing in through the door, and the Mayor followed.

A small, rusty robot wheeled up to my feet and squealed, "Ms. Celeste Parksom, we are here to stamp you for the one and only, Computer Game Choosing. All that the Mayor asks of you is to place your hand out. We will do the rest." I was frozen stiff. The one thing that I had always thought I was ready for, I wasn't.

"Please, don't be afraid, it will take only a second, then you can relax." The Mayor spoke to me with a calm, but booming voice.

I answered back with a tiny voice that he probably couldn't hear, "ok." I moved my hand away from my body, as slow as a snail, and left my hand to die in pain. I kept telling myself, it'll only be a second, it'll only be a second. I stepped back, I knew what I had to do. I bolted.
