It made sense.

They got defensive when I mentioned the Avengers, so either they were crazy fanatics and would defend their heroes with their lives or they were the Avengers.

I also connected the dots with Dr. B whom I had been texting and the Dr. Banner who had fixed my shoulder.

I mean Dr. B is oddly specific, especially for a nickname. And why would he answer the only message that mentioned Bruce Banner? He hadn't answered anyone's message before mine, talking about Banner. Thats why he was like "rlly?" Because he's used to not having anyone admire him. And also it would also explain why everyone was looking at me weirdly.

Or maybe I was just delusional.

Nah. I was just being delusional. I'm talking to random strangers. Not the world's greatest heroes.

I thought of putting my theory to the test but to be honest I didn't want to know. Because what if I was talking to the Avengers? I had said so much dumb shit to them and I spilled some of my guts to them and then I'd have to face them every intern day.

I left the chat. I needed to stop spilling my guts to possibly the avengers.

I didn't want the unnecessary attention from them. I had already had enough after my eventful night at the Tower.

My phone buzzed again but this time it was Mae who'd texted me.

I looked around and found her staring me down.

I leaped off the bench and ran to my best friend.
I jumped into her arms and we stayed in a warm embrace for a few minutes until I let go.

"Dude I have so much shit to tell you. You're gonna freak trust" I warned her.

"Dime" (talk) she said.

"Did you bring?" I asked first

She nodded excitedly. She pulled out a bag with small cubes of brownie bites.

I took three all at once and I suggested for her to do the same.

"Take five trust you're gonna want them because damn my story time is gonna be ua long one" I laughed. I was already feeling a bit dazed

I told her everything. From the beginning to the end. I watched her expressions change as the storyline went one.

"Stay delusional. If you were talking all that shit about the avengers to the avengers I'd die of embarrassment. My advice. Stay delusional. You are definitely not talking to the avengers it's js random people" That was all she said after I finished my story.
