Olive woke with a start. Her eyes opened slowly and she tilted her head towards her gift to find harry resting and talking with Dumbledore. He seems to have noticed she had woken up without even looking at her and jumped out of bed and gave her bear hug.
'Hey, Harry.' Olive said through the hug. Once he let go she asked, 'Can someone explain what happened exactly?'
'Well, so you remember what happened yesterday?' Harry asked.
'We were duelling Maxwell and I passed out.' Olive replied. Then it hit her. 'Wait, what happened to Maxwell?'
Dumbledore smiled faintly. 'Professor Maxwell has couldn't hold in Lord Voldemort in him any longer and those curse you sent to him were the last straw.'
'Wait, so he's... dead?' Olive asked. Dumbledore nodded slowly.
'Harry, Olive, I hope you both understand what you got yourselves into. You were never meant to be on Voldemort's death list. You are because you defeated him twelve years ago. He has been looking for revenge in all ways possible to get rid of you two. Well, mainly Harry since he was the one that exacted his downfall.' He said warningly. Harry eyes widened and smiled sarcastically.
Olive chuckled.
'So. You both need to be much more careful with what you do. You never know when he might be able to put someone from his side over here in Hogwarts. And I think you both realised that after Quirrell and Maxwell.' Dumbledore added. Harry and Olive exchanged glances.
'We can't promise.' Harry joked. All three of them. Just then, Madam Pomfrey came from the store room and said, 'Professor, Wood and Potter here need all the rest they can get if they want to be present for the end-of- term feast.' She said politely but in a stern tone.
'Of course,' Dumbledore said.
'Professor, wait.' Olive said. Dumbledore turned around slowly the sun reflecting slightly on his half-moon glasses.
'Yes, Olive?' He asked.
'Do you think he might come back? And do you think this might happen for us forever?' Olive asked. Dumbledore eyed her calmly.
'He is defined to return one day, Olive. But that day is far from now. And you will not be going through this forever, of course not. Now get some rest. You don't want to miss your first end-of-term feast.' Dumbledore said smiling at her sweetly. Then he left. Harry went back to his bed which was on her direct right and Olive said, 'Now I see why Dumbledore is your favourite professor. He really helps.'
Harry chuckled lightly. 'He does, doesn't he?'
After a few days, Olive and Harry were both discharged from the Hospital Wing of course with a few bandages here and there. Harry had one on his left wrist and Olive had one on her right.
Hermione, Ron and Ginny were astounded to see the pair of them and spent the last days of the academic year having fun and visiting Hagrid.
Finally after around three days, the end-of-term feats finally came. Which also meant the house cup.
During the last few classes of the year all students in Gryffindor house have been trying to get up on the leaderboard so they could elevate on the Slytherins. Even Snape didn't take any points from them. Which was a total surprise for all the students at Hogwarts.
Ron, Hermione, Harry and Olive all entered the Great Hall together and sat at the Gryffindor for table together with Ginny and the others. Olive thought this was the perfect time to ask Fred what he meant when he said Charlie would kill hum if he let the Bludger get Olive.
'Hey Fred,'
'Yes?'
'What did you mean when you said Charlie would kill your if you let that Bludger kill me?'
'Oh, Charlie always said that if a Beater doesn't do his job especially during the finals they're not worthy of it. And I don't want to be not worthy of being a Beater. And because George wouldn't be able to survive without me on the team and because we'd lose the match if we didn't have a Seeker.' He said
Olive nodded. Then Dumbledore clicked his glass.
'Now it is time for the House Cup results. In fourth place, we have Gryffindor with three hundred and four points, in third place Hufflepuff with four hundred and twelve points, Ravenclaw in second place, with four hundred and thirty points and the winner is Slytherin with five hundred and nine points.'
Olive could see the Malfoys smiling widely and scoffed.
'But due to previous events, I have decided to make a few changes,' Dumbledore said. This caught Olive's attention.
'To Mister Ron Weasley, the best game of chess we have ever seen, fifty points.' The table applauded for Ron.
'To Miss Hermione Granger for using logic in the face of danger, fifty points.'
'To Miss Olive Wood and Mister Harry Potter,' Olive's head jerked up. She could see Harry's face with the same expression. 'For an amazing amount of bravery standing up to their enemy and being there for each other, sixty points each.'
Olive laughed. Harry jumped on top of her and they hugged.
'And finally, to Mister Neville Longbottom to standing up to the ones he's scared of, fifty points.' Dumbledore said.
'We beat Slytherin.' Hermione said. Olive looked at Dumbledore.
'And now, I believe we need to make a few arrangements.' He said smiling. And immediately the banners changed from green to red and the logo of the Gryffindor house. The whole Gryffindor table erupted in cheers and they threw their hats up. The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students followed suit and the only people who weren't happy were the Slytherins.
'We won! We won!' Fred and George chanted. After the results, the feast began and they gobbled up in some treacle tarts, bacon, and chicken legs.
Now they only had two more days at hogwarts until the train came.
