The setting sun glared into your eyes as you stepped out onto the soccer field.
Breathing quickly and shallowly, Nagi rushed to catch up with the rest of the squad, panting and flushed.
"Nagi! Keep up the pace!"
Nagi gritted his teeth and rushed by you, his shoes sinking into the field and leaving imprints in the just cut grass as the coach gave a loud warning.
Nagi was behind Reo and going slower than he should. He was having trouble breathing, and Reo had to pull him along at times, as if he were a young child falling behind. The sight made you chuckle.
When he saw you, Reo waved slightly, his trademark smile on his face. He pointed at Nagi and turned his head lazily, his face immediately lighting up. You waved at both of your friends from the sidelines.
"Make sure to win for me, okay?" you yelled, but they couldn't hear you, leaving both boys puzzled.
You sat in the stands alongside the other fans, watching the teams take the field for their big, important match. The stadium was packed with fans, all eagerly waiting for the game to begin.
As you looked around the stadium, you saw the other side was equally packed, with fans of the opposing team also rooting their side on. The stadium was full of noise, with both sets of people enthusiastically chanting for their teams.
Today was the game between the rivalry schools Hiroshi High School and Tokiwadai High School going against each other.
You saw a few players benched, but they were still vital to their team as replacements. It's impressive how they stayed focused and calm, even though they aren't playing in the match right now.
