The atmosphere was relaxed, with the sound of rain tapping against the windows and the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance.
Here you were a few hours later, zoning in and out of reality. Hiori's voice interrupted your thoughts, along with the small sounds of a pen tapping against the table.
"We should continue our investigation, but first-" Hiori's voice trailed off momentarily as he paused to take a sip of his tea, the steam swirling lazily above the cup.
With a casual flick of his thumb, he scrolled through something on his phone, the soft tapping of his fingers against the screen adding to the background noise. "There we go."
"What'd you do?" Rin titled his head.
"I messaged the group chat in case we're in any danger." Hiori smiled.
"You guys have a group chat?" You narrowed your brows.
"It's just us four plus Isagi, Reo and Nagi. We didn't bother to add anyone else." Hiori smiled again. "Oh! Nagi messaged right away, wanna see?"
