WARNING: MENTIONS OF DEATH AND GORE
11:43 AM - LUNCH

It was an unusually quiet lunch for you; you were used to being accompanied by Nagi or Reo, both of whom had a reason not to be present today. You wondered what they were doing, but you brushed that thought aside.

You were used to being alone, so it was not a huge problem.

Your thoughts briefly strayed to the last time you had lunch outside. You remembered the breeze, the sun, and the scents of nature. It was a pleasant memory, a refreshing and natural feeling.

Besides getting hit with a soccer ball straight to the face, then your enemy taking you to the nurse's office, pretending to be your friend, and then-- well, you got the idea.

You were never eating outside again.

Your gaze strayed to Sae, who was surrounded by his harem of girls and happily munching away, completely oblivious to reality.

In stark contrast, here you were sitting alone, unwelcomed, and feeling suffocated by the phony environment around you.

You found Sae's popularity annoying. His good looks and charisma got him far, and he had a constant stoic look on his face. You observed how women swarmed to him, attracted by him simply by his existence.

Still, you wondered what the girls were talking about with him, and what type of smart banter he had with each of them. Rolling your eyes, you made an effort to ignore him.

When news spread that you and Sae had gotten into a fight at the restaurant, everyone talked about it.

A video was posted, showing everything.

The following day, it sort of went viral, and people couldn't stop staring at you.

The judging stares, the gossip, the whispers-all of it weighed on you. It was one thing to be looked down upon by everyone, but it was another to be the subject of rumors.

It added to your current state of isolation, which you didn't want to be in.

It was clear that people chose to support the soccer player.

You took another bite of your ramen, trying to convince yourself that it didn't bother you.

The tears came along your cheeks, a little slowly at first, then fast. You sobbed softly, not wanting to cause a scene.

A tray in front of you made you jump, and you spilled some of your ramen on your sleeve. You quickly brushed away any more tears from your face, striving to remain calm, but your sadness was obvious.

When you finally looked up, your eyes widened in recognition to see those iconic spider eyelashes and teal-colored eyes.

However, it wasn't Sae, it was his brother.
