I woke up at 5:43am this morning. I was just too excited about where I'm going to be in the next couple of hours! I had been waiting years to go to Harry Potter world! I just couldn't believe that the place I would've only dreamed of going to, I was going to go to today!
I got out of bed and got dressed in my white shorts, blue top and white converse shoes and went downstairs to get breakfast with Zoë. The food looked AMAZING!! It was all lined up next to each other. There were mini sausages, fruit, cereal, a big toaster machine with freshly made cut bread piled up on each other. I just wanted to try a bit of everything! But I didn't want to look greedy in front of all these posh people sitting at the little tables that were scattered around the large room.
So Zoë and I just grabbed a bit of stuff and took it up to our room to eat. And the best thing was that we could go back to get more for as many times as we wanted!
Once we'd eaten all of the yummy food, we were ready to set of for Harry Potter World in Orlando! I was so excited! I just knew this was going to be amazing!
We all got into the taxi and it turned out that Harry Potter World wasn't too far away from our hotel. On the way there I kept looking out of the window at the signs that said Harry Potter World on it with arrows pointing to where we had to go to get there.
When we finally reached the car park, I could see the big, life size Hogwarts School and I just wished that I could go to school there instead of my boring school back in England.
We got our tickets and walked through Diagon Alley, it was so cool! It was like being in the books and films! The first place we went was, of course, HoneyDukes! I brought a chocolate frog and a pack of fizzing whizzbees. The chocolate frog wasn't as tasty as I'd thought it would be. It tasted more like tesco value 20p chocolate but it was still okay. The Fizzing whizzbees were really nice though, they were little bee-shaped chocolate popping candies and it was good! I actually went to buy some more of them afterwards.
After we'd got all the sweets we wanted, we went into Ollivander's wand shop. The room was full of wands, obviously, but then I went to buy my own personalised wand! When I was given my third wand to try out to see if it was 'the one for me', a light breeze brushed past me and a light shined down on me like it did when Harry got his wand and it was so much fun! My wand looked great, quite similar to Ginny Weasley's wand actually.
After I'd bought my wand, we all went to get a butter beer from the little cafe. It tasted really nice. Much better than when I tried making one at home, that one was disgusting' I put too much cream soda in the mixture and the on,y nice bit that I made was the Squirty cream and the butterscotch syrup mixed together to make the frothy stuff on the top.
With my butterbeer I also bough some American crisps called Cheetos and they were so good! And the makers of the crisp actually filled up the whole packet instead of just half of it.
We went for a little walk around the place before we left and went to take a look at Hogwarts until I noticed, harry potter rides! There was a huge Roller coaster and flying on broom sticks. It all looked so cool. Zoë, Alfie, Joe and I all went of the roller coaster and there was a big drop and it made my stomach feel like it had been left right on the top of the track before we dropped.
We went on a couple of the ride and went to get some souvenirs from the gift shop and I got a Ravenclaw t-shirt, a little notebook with the Hogwarts crest on it, a mug and I also bought the picture that they took of us all on the ride. Alfie and Zoë's faces was hilarious! She looked petrified! Once we had bought everything we wanted, we got into the taxi and left Harry Potter World. It was one of the Most amazing places I'd ever been! I couldn't believe that I'd just hone there, the place I had been waiting to go to for years. I'd experienced it with my favourite people.
*authors note: sorry I haven't updated in a while, ive been busy with school. but I've broken up from school now for the summer so hopefully I can update more. plus, I've never been to Florida or Harry Potter world and its my dream holiday so I've probably missed out the main things that are there😂 hope you're all enjoying this story xx
