My mirror shattered on the floor. The shattered glass all over the carpet was an unruly sight. I looked down at the floor and grimaced. Perfect timing i thought as i saw my friends name light up my phone. When i picked it up i was greeted by my best friend Mia. She was overly extroverted and the complete opposite of me. During Sophmore year we met during an English project, she was everything I wanted to be and yet everything I couldn't be.

"Bea! That really popular band King's Revival is going to be in town tonight doing a concert!" She spoke in an overly energetic and ecstatic tone. I looked around at my messy room and spoke into the phone "yeah, what's in it for me though?" I ran a hand through my dyed hair. I could tell she went quiet for a second, trying to figure out what to tell me. I sat on my bed waiting for a reply. I heard her beg into the phone "Just please come to the concert and party tonight okay? Do it for me." I hung up and thought about it. I walked around my room for a few minutes, avoiding the broken glass on the floor. I texted her my thoughts then set my phone down.

I knew that if I were to go to the concert with Mia, I couldn't wear just any dress. I had to find something that would make me stand out, something that would make me look like I belonged. After rifling through my closet, I finally landed on the perfect dress: a black minidress with a cut-out at the waist. With a pair of black bootghbv  and a sleek choker, I felt more confident than ever. I took one last look in the mirror before gathering my things and heading out the door.

As I made my way to the concert venue, I felt nervous. This was going to be a night I'd never forget, a night that would change everything. Once I arrived, the crowd was already energized, rocking out to the music and letting loose. I searched for Mia in the sea of people, but she was nowhere to be found. As I made my way deeper into the crowd, I couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom. The music was so loud that I felt like I was levitating, like nothing in the world mattered except for the moment I was living in.

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Mia, her face lit up with excitement. "Where have you been? I was worried you weren't coming!" she shouted over the music. I laughed and nodded, happy to be with her.

As the night progressed, we danced and sang along with the band, losing ourselves in the energy of the crowd. Mia was in her element, completely alive and in her element. I couldn't help but admire her from afar, wishing to be more like her.

As the concert began to wrap up, Mia turned to me with a mischievous grin on her face. "Let's go backstage," she whispered.

I hesitated, but before I knew it, we were making our way through the crowd and towards the backstage area. As we approached the stage, we could see the band members loading up their equipment. Mia walked up to the lead singer and tapped him on the shoulder, introducing herself and explaining why we were there. To my surprise, he invited us backstage, telling us that he had been watching us from the stage and thought we looked like fun.

As we entered the backstage area, I couldn't help but feel nervous.
