"Once again thank you sooo much on 4 million subscribers. You guys mean the world to me! I will see you next week with another video!" I place both hands to my mouth and blow my signature good-bye kiss and shut the camera off with a satisfied sigh.
It completely boggles my mind that there are a little over 4 million people who enjoy watching and listening to me rant and rave about the silliest things at times.
I first started making these short videos about 4 years ago when I had just turned 16.
My channel hadn't really taken off until I posted a video that received over 1 million views sharing with my viewers that doctors have found a cancerous tumor in my leg and I was scheduled to have my right leg removed below the knee.
I had doubted many times about vlogging throughout the whole experience by I had to sit back and realize that the whole reason behind me starting this channel was to reach out to people and give them encouragement and advice during the hardest of times.
It was extremely hard to maintain a consistent posting schedule post-amputation because depression was a bitch.
Days and days would go by where I wouldn't shower or eat or do anything but stare at the blank wall in my tiny room. It was as if all my energy left along with my leg.
I had many times where I would rather be dead than live another day of the life I was given.
After my surgery my activity on my channel and other social media sites was pretty much non exsistent. Logging back onto my channel was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. All the support and encouragement that my viewers sent my way was absolutely incredible.
If it wasn't for them I honestly don't believe I would be here now.
Seeing all the love from my subscribers rekindled the firery passion I once had for my channel.
After my return, my number of subscribers steadily began to incline.
When I turned 18, I left my home in Dale, Colorado and moved to London for a fashion line deal I was offered. I have had many opportunities to film with other popular youtube stars since my move to London. I even had the chance to film with zoella.
We hit it off instantly and have been the best of friends ever since.
There is a quote that says "If you choose a job you love, you will never work a day in your life." And that's the honest truth.
I have the best job any person could ask for and would never change a thing about it.
