Amanda was sitting on the couch looking over at her dad and his new wife she wasn't sure what happened to Katy but she was sure that was his last wife. "What happened to Katy,"

"Amanda." Carlos warned. He was used to his daughter stirring things up and causing problems.

"Just asking." Amanda smirked. She didn't think she was doing anything wrong she was only asking knowing this was about his 9th wife since her parents got divorced 5 years ago. She looked back over to his new wife. "What's your name?"

"Elizabeth."

"How old are you?" Amanda knew that ages often ranged younger than him.

"Amanda." Even if Carlos was aware that this was his daughters norm but it needed to stop.

"31." Elizabeth answered.

Amanda chuckled shaking her head she wasn't surprised but she was happy this one was older than her 20's. "At least this one is in her thirty's."

"I thought your friend was coming over." Carlos asked. He knew Adalind always served as a great buffer since whenever she was around the girls usually hid out in the room.

"She should be here soon." Amanda was hoping that she hurried because she really didn't want to be here right now.

"So I heard that you're a cheerleader." Elizabeth wanted to get to know who her stepdaughter was.

"Yeah so what."

"You into any boys yet."

"Not here I'm not. And even if I were you would be the last to know." Amanda's phone dinged she picked it up seeing that it was Adalind telling her she was here. She got up going to get the door seeing Adlalind and her stepfather Kade.

"Hi Amanda."

She shot him a glare she was not a fan of him. "Come on it's horrible in here."

"Figures." Adalind knew she wasn't a fan of being with her dad or his wives.

"Call me when you're ready to leave."

"Sure."

Amanda closed the door with a slam looking over to her best friend. It was her job to make sure that she was ok. "Did he hurt you again?"

"I'm fine Mandy." Adalind promised. She was good she'd survive she did this long after all.

"I don't care who he is he can get his ass beat too." Amanda threatened as far as she was concerned no one was going to go after her.

"I bet he can, come on."

"I hate her already." Amanda whined.

"We both know they never stick around for long." Adalind had gotten used to that cycle. The fact that her dad was remarried every 6 months. Where he was finding these woman he wasn't sure but it was happening.

Adalind had stepped away so she could call Vivian. "Hello."

"Hey Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas Viv." She wished that the three of them were together but for now she was going to have to settle with the phone calls.

"How is everything there." Vivian asked. She knew the two of them had no filter and pretty much did whatever they wanted. Most times without consequences.

"Annoying as usual." Adalind sighed.

Vivian took a few breaths she definitely missed her best friends. And she had hated that her parents had made her move to New York where the rest of her family lived. "I wish we were in the same city again."
