Chapter 1: The First Step Among a Thousand

Sung narrowed his eyes as the shadows flickered and writhed around him. "Where is she? I don't give a damn if you're the Gojo. Where the hell is she?! I died for her sake, damn it!" I roared.

Gojo sighed as he realized just how serious this was for someone like this child. "Fine, fine. But first, we have a meeting to get to, young man." He said with a smirk while wagging his finger.

Sung took a deep breath, "Is she at least alive?" He asked.

Gojo shrugged, "Who knows? Maybe if you follow me you'll find out, now won't ya?"

Sung stomped over with an annoyed grunt, "Fuck you, you good-looking piece of shit." He stated.

Gojo winked at him, "Awww~ Are you falling for my charms..."

Mizushino rolled his eyes with a snort. "For one, ew. For two, I don't swing for that side. For three, the name's Sung Mizushino. Remember it, because I'll take that damn throne you're so proud of." Sung declared.

Gojo, for once, didn't have a grin, a smug look, or anything along those lines. He ripped off his blindfold and stood up at alarming speed, forcing Sung to look up at him. "What... what did you say your name was?" Gojo questioned.

Sung blinked, "It's Sung Mizushino. Surname is Sung. Forename is Mizushino. Why?"

Gojo took a step back and a thoughtful expression came over him as a maniacal smirk spread across his face. "A Sung huh..."

Gojo Satoru knew all too well what this man was capable of. Sung Mizushino was the last living member of the Sung clan, which were known for their astronomically high cursed energy reserves and cursed techniques tied to darkness or shadows. This is in due part to them coming from the most powerful being to have ever existed and the ruler of the Korean peninsula over a thousand years ago, Sung Jinwoo.

But what made Sung Mizushino especially rare was not only his ties to such an extraordinary man and the extremely small but powerful clan that came from him, but his correlation to other well known beings thought to be seen as "deities". While Ryomen Sukuna might have reigned as king during the Heian era in Japan, there was a lone Sage who was also known as "The Strongest" at this period in time as well who was known as The Sage of Six Paths, Otsutsuki Hagoromo. While Hagoromo himself never really had his own clan like Sung Jinwoo did, he did have two small ones that then absorbed themselves into the Sung clan through an agreement between the two. The Uchiha and Senju clans merged within the Sung clan and then fled back with Sung Jinwoo while he reigned as the 'Monarch of Shadows'.

This much, everyone in jujutsu society knew about. However, what only an incredibly select few within the higher echelons knew in the top three clans of Kamo, Zenin, and Gojo clans was this: That the child created through the energies of Sung Jinwoo and Otsutsuki Hagoromo was the ancestor to one of the children of Sugawara no Michizane. There was also something revealed within those old scrolls that stated that a relative of Sugawara no Michizane would "awaken" to their full heritage and would save the world from the might of Sukuna Ryomen.

Of course, most assumed it would be Gojo Satoru himself, but now that he stood in front of the infamous last child of the Sung clan, he himself didn't feel so certain of that anymore.

After all, this child had talent and skill rivaling his own and enough ingenuity and hard work to achieve things he himself hadn't or wouldn't have until years later in a life or death situation.

Gojo brought back his normal shit-eating grin and spread his arms out, "Wow~! So you're the kiddo I've been lookin' for after all! The higher ups were trying really hard to make sure I didn't know about you!" He said excitedly as he began walking away from him enthusiastically as he led the young Sung around.
