I drove my fist directly into Zabuza's, who was the closest one to me. With a resounding amount of force, I casually shattered his jaw and a part of his neck crumbled under my fist as he was sent flying away across the air before crashing painfully into the dirt.

I roared and took off in a blur as I appeared in front of Haku, who managed to narrowly avoid the clawed swipe I made at her but missed the backspin kick I delivered into her side, as the sound of broken bones and the shattering of the barrier of sound resounded around us. I grinned as the iron sand rose up and killed Zabuza who was trying to hit me one last time with a kunai, and had impaled him.

Haku roared and swam through one-handed signs as her chakra flared to life. I took off in a blur as the wind slapped against my face as I grabbed her by the face and dragged her across the water I was running across, skinning her back before spinning and throwing her with enough force to break the sound barrier and launch her through several trees and more. She screamed in pain and agony as I landed on top of her and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck, hoisting her face up to my level as I glared at her.

My Sharingan spun as her eyes widened before a flare of her chakra shoved me back slightly, enough to force my grip off of her. I roared at her, my chakra blasting forward as she quickly slammed the ground and erected a giant wall of ice.

The wall broke upon impact from the shout but it did enough to protect her, even if she was flying away like a ragdoll right now.

I held out my hand and tried to will that iron sand from before to my bidding, but it didn’t respond. I grit my teeth and shook it off as I took off on all fours like a blur, appearing in front of Haku once more as I clenched my fist and drove it into her stomach, slamming her into the ground with enough force to cause tremors and create a large crater beneath her beaten and bloody form.

I growled as I landed on top of her, “I tried to give you the easy way out, you know? To put a genjutsu on you and let it end there. But you wanted this.” The iron sand coalesced around me and formed a tail, a sharp one, before piercing Haku right through the chest.

“Za…bu… za… sama…” Haku coughed out as her lungs filled up with blood and her eyes slowly grew duller and colder.

“Zabuza? What about him?” I questioned as my form reverted back to normal now.

Tears fell down her face as I laid her down. “I… I couldn’t save him… I’m… a failure… I couldn’t… protect… the one… I love… again…” She said.

My eyes widened in shock. Again? “Wait… Again?! What do you mean?”

She chuckled lightly through the blood clogging her throat and grabbed me by my shirt and said, “This… isn’t… our first death… We… aren’t… some… program…” With that, she died.

My eyes shook and trembled as did my hands as I sat on my butt in shock. Even as my surroundings slowly returned to normal and Gojo placed his hand on my shoulder, even when the blood on my body faded away like pixels in a video game, I still sat there in shock.

What… What have I done?

“Is he going to be alright?” Gojo asked as he looked over at Shoko with an anxious expression.

Shoko took a drag of her cigarette and looked over at Gojo, “He’ll be fine. His injuries have healed on their own. He’s suffering from shock. The kind I've seen from new Sorcerers after they killed their first humanoid Cursed Spirit…” Shoko said.

Gojo watched over the young boy nervously, “Meaning…?”

Shoko sighed, “Meaning… That he’s suffering from his actions against an innocent life. If he is indeed the legendary Sung Mizushino… Then that means he's not suffering from having killed a curse or someone “evil”. He killed an innocent, wherever he was, and he had no say in the matter I'm guessing based on how distraught he was.”
