Jaemin began to fall blind when he was about ten years old, him now being twenty resulted in the boy not really remembering what it was exactly like to see fully. Of course he remembered bits and pieces, but it was difficult when it was so long ago, and now he had been used to just not seeing anything.

At first it was really hard to come to terms with, it still was, but he had gotten the hang of things. He wouldn't leave the house at all, his mother letting him switch to online school so he wouldn't have to deal with things. He tried his best to go to school in person, but the bullying really ended up getting to him. Now that he was in college, he still sat at home to do his work from home, but he at least would now leave the house to run errands and such.

His mother worried for him, for that was her only baby, but she worked hard to not only push Jaemin out to still live his life; but to push herself as well, because if she could she would keep Jaemin bubble wrapped and locked away safe in his room. But she could never do that to him, and she wanted him to be happy even though he would now never be able to see again. So when both him and Jeno came to her, pleading with their stupid puppy dog eyes to let them go, it was difficult to come to a decision.

The boys were adults of course, and if they wanted to they could just leave; but Jeno felt a bit rude stealing the woman's son from her to take him on a days worth trip. He felt it was best to ask for her permission first, so that is what he did. She hesitated at first, but when she glanced at the grin and hope on her sons face, she sighed loudly before agreeing; both the boys jumping into cheer.

About a weeks worth later, Jeno had asked for a couple days off from work; which had been easy as he was simply a part time worker anyways. He had a small bag packed as they would only be gone for maybe two or three nights, and he actually froze a bit as he was packing; realizing he would be spending nights with a certain pink haired boy. But he shook his head to continue, and when the day came, he drove back to Jaemin's house.

He had stood in the kitchen, Jaemin groaning as his mother gave Jeno a lecture about their trip. Don't get her wrong, she loved Jeno, adored him; but Jaemin was her son, and Jeno still had an opportunity to hurt the boy in any way, so she made sure he knew what the consequences would be.
"Do not leave him alone, anywhere. Make sure he eats properly, make sure he gets a good nights sleep. Make sure-"

The pink haired boy rubbed his hands down his face, going to stand from his chair.
"Mom!"

She rose her hands in the air, his brows raised.
"What! You are my baby! If anything happens to you I will kill you!"

Jeno couldn't help but grin, watching the boy before turning back to the woman, bowing slightly.
"Don't worry, Ms. Na. I'll take care of him."

The woman stared for a bit, biting her lip before scoffing a bit, waving her hand at him.
"I know you will, precious."

Jeno understood her, he knew why she was nervous and he knew where she was coming from; which made him incredibly grateful for her allowing Jaemin to go. She was a good mother, a great one actually. Being a single mother and raising a blind boy, she worried but she wanted the best for Jaemin, and pushed him past his boundaries. Jeno's sure if he had a child and they were blind he'd keep them shielded from the world forever.

He wonders what his parents would be like if he was blind, he wonders if they would think of him as a disappointment. The boy could see and he was already on the brink of disappointing them.

Jeno helped Jaemin pack, making sure he had the coziest of pajamas, not knowing if where they would stay each night would be cold or not. He let Jaemin pick out outfits for each day, staring in adoration as the boy slipped his fingers along each piece of fabric, making sure he had his favourite shirts and sweaters and pants. He even took his time to pick out his favourite socks, making sure Jeno confirmed which ones had cats on it; which most of his socks did have cats on them.
