Being a college student was difficult sometimes.. actually it was most times. It was loaded with work and stress, making time for nothing but school half the time. Jeno was smart, and he would give himself that, but the work was still a lot, not matter how smart you were.

He spent most of his days off studying, as he was in no hopes of failing. His parents sent him here with some of the money for his tuition, so he wasn't about to disappoint them. Of course, he was paying for some of it too, but anything helped, and he was grateful for his parents supporting him.

Jeno found it pretty simple to study, he was once again a smart boy. But it did become difficult once you had some annoying beings hanging off your arms.

Park Jisung had been Jeno's friend since childhood, him immediately following Jeno around everywhere he went. He even followed Jeno to this dumb college, and clung to his arm. Jeno let him though, because Jisung was quite nervous in the world no matter what was going on.

"Hyung, please. I can't sit here all alone. These people are all staring at me, I promise you." Jisung spoke, frantically looking around, dramatically.

Jeno rolled his eyes, rubbing a hand over his face.
"Jisung, no one is fucking looking at you. You're crazy."

The younger boy grabbed onto Jeno's hoodie, shaking the boy back and forth.
"You don't understand! They are looking at me and they are judging me, I can feel it!"

Jeno grabbed onto the boys hands to pry him off of him, huffing out a laugh.
"You know what I can feel? Annoyance. Shut the fuck up."

Jisung groaned, putting his hands on his head.
"Hyung."

Jeno laughed again, widening his eyes at the other to mock the boy.
"Jisung."

Jisung stared a bit, him growing annoyed as well, before groaning again and throwing his hands up in defeat.
"Fine, leave me alone to die."

The older boy smacked him across the head, Jisung raising his hands with a squeal to grab at where he slapped.
"You're so stupid, you're not going to die."

Jeno reached over the table to grab his bag, throwing it over his shoulder. He held back a snort as Jisung threw his hood over his head and buried his face into the table.
"I'll be gone for like five or ten minutes, I think a grown man like you can survive that long alone in a library."

He heard Jisung grunt, and he let out that snort he was holding back before shaking his head. Jisung wasn't incapable of being alone or speaking to others, he was just a brat and would rather not be doing either of those things. Jeno felt like his mother, pushing the boy out of his comfort zone.

Jeno took his leave from their table to go find the books he needed to study. He has textbooks already, but he was a nerd and liked to dive further into topics, hence his great grades. Jeno liked to learn, it did get tiring though. His parents had always pushed him to be his greatest, whether it was in spelling bees, extracurricular activities, just making new friends; he loved his parents, he really did, but it all did get tiring in the end.

He wasn't a super outgoing person, sure he loved to make friends, and he had quite a few, but he was a homebody and liked to just sit in his room. When he needed to unwind, he really liked just being in peace and quiet and maybe reading a good book or something. But that wasn't always the case when you had parents like Jeno's.

One of the reasons he chose a college further away from his parents, was for these reasons. His parents were never mean or abusive in anyway, but they had been harsh sometimes, or strict. He needed a bit of freedom, and he felt he could get some when he moved further to study somewhere like here. Jisung did follow him out here though, so it wasn't complete freedom. Although he was lucky Jisung found Chenle in the middle of the year, or he'd never have alone time.
