Peace In Our Times

One mission had Argo and Rahnie chasing down a Marian posing as the president's bodyguard. He led them to an abandoned warehouse. When they reached he pressed a button, and they were teleported to the mothership.

On the mothership they were on trial. At first Argo could not make out what language the leader of the Marian was speaking. All he could see was that he was angry and shouting. One Marian soldier came to give him an earpiece with a mic, now he could understand what they were saying. "Traitor you stand accused of fraternizing with the enemy, direct sabotage of phase two , and disobeying a direct order from your superior. Do you have anything to say before we throw you and your creature to the ghost planet." The leader was addressing Rahnie. Ghost planet is a planet so far away from the solar system. For a Marian to be exiled to that planet is the worst form of murder. Rather than dying of lack of air , on Ghost planet Marians face slow death due to starvation from being away from the sun.

"It wasn't her fault. I forced her , she never had a choice. She was my prisoner. If anyone should be condemned it should be me." Argo would have said anything at that point just to save the love of his life.

"How dare you speak to me!." A soldier zapped him with electric shock . The leader stepped down from his chair and he walked towards Argo who was groaning in pain of being electrocuted.

"You would try to protect her!, even when she was sent to annihilate you and your kind?." He asked Argo.

"I love her, she is my kind." The leader was taken by surprise from Argo . He wanted to test his spirit.

" Marians are going to be the new Apex predators in your planet. And when that happens your kind will be redundant. We seek to bring balance to your world. But I want to give you a chance to plead for your life maybe we might keep you alive as souvenir." He instructed a huge warrior to come forward.

Argo was going to fight for their lives. He rushed and strike the huge warrior multiple times. The warrior was unaffected by this attempt, he kicked Argo and sent him flying across. Argo kept trying to find an opening with no luck . The warrior grappled him and threw him on the floor and removed a wooden stake from his pouch. He stabbed Argo in the chest. Argo stood surprised with the piece of wood on his chest. " We know about your weaknesses vampire!." The leader smirked he knew Argo was about to perish. To their surprise Argo removed the wooden stake and turned into werewolf. He strike the warrior's chest with his claws. The warrior groaned in pain but stood up as he started to heal. Argo knew he would have to kill the warrior. He looked at Rahnie then he looked at the warrior who was charging towards him. He had idea how to end all this.

He dodged the Warrior , and with his vampire speed he broke every bone the huge warrior had from toes to jaw. Then while the warrior was groaning in pain as his bones were healing, he turned to the leader.

" that's what turning to this beast felt like for me. The pain is equal. We might differ in some aspects but in the core we feel pain equally, we have fear , we have joy and we love. I could live with a Marian and I was happy that I forgot she was not a vampire. Maybe it does not have to be about our differences, maybe it is in our similarities that lies the secret of our species living together."

The warrior stood fully healed then when he kneeled in front of Argo, a sign of respect to another warrior. The leader was moved by this.

It was agreed upon that the Marians would stop hunting down supernaturals.

They would need their support in misdirecting the human attention from their landing. The Marians who still had influence under the Marian Regime were given new orders. They were supposed to convince humans that aliens do not exist and supernaturals were a myth and scary stories of the past.

The Marians landed in the world with the help of witches who created storms in the skies covering the mothership till it landed in a no man island. While on earth they deployed floating island technology to avoid contact with human.

Argo and Rahnie lived on this floating island in peace and happiness. Spending each moment enjoying their bond. All is well that ends well but the thing with humans is they always find a way of interrupting happily ever after. The

Soulmates could live forever but that is never a guarantee even for immortals.
