The Devil You Know

Argo was on the diet of one crew member each day , until the last crew member left  they were arriving on land on what looked like huge island . The trees on tha coast were nothing like the trees that they have seen before, they were long and the branches were up top giving them a long fan look , it was a very beautiful sight, just being there felt peaceful like a land that has never tasted blood. Rahnie was unloading the luggages alone when she finished she went to look for Argo who was feeding on the captain.

Argo

"Honey I was having a final snack! , plus letting him go back alone will rise suspicions"

Rahnie

"why are you being like this? This is not like you at all"

Argo

"I promise I will go back on animal diet, but who are you to judge I was  not the only vampire on the ship I'm sure you had your fill , look at your skin! That's the healthiest I have ever seen you"

Rahnie did not respond but it was obvious she was not happy. They carried their luggages and started their journey on this new land . After several days they found a hut , it seemed to be a home for a fisherman it had hand made fishing net outside and there were fish dried outside , they approached the house and they were met by terrified family of a father mother and daughter , Rahnie calmed them down assuring them that they weren't in any danger , but it was not easy since they could not understand what she was saying only her gestures , but after realizing they were not bad people they were invited by the family to stay , since they were on an exploring journey this could be a nice opportunity to learn about this mysterious land and the locals .
The first difference they noticed it was the dress codes , the family wore fabric that was hand sewed by the mother, and their language pronunciation was also different than what they were used to hear , their skin was melanin which made sense with their climate , their summer was really hot and their winter was more windy . With the help of the father Argo built a hut nearby where him and Rahnie resided in , so during nights the men would go fishing and the father would show him how to find in his ways and Argo would also share his knowledge , during the day the women would take care house chores , like fetching water , cleaning and cooking . The mother showed Rahnie various skills like how to make pots , sewing clothes and dancing which was a good form of entertainment during nights. But every once in a while Argo took Rahnie hunting so as they could have a chance to actually feed but Rahnie preferred staying home instead so Argo would bring the meat home. One day the fisherman wanted to escort Argo in his hunting , Argo tried to refuse because his methods of hunting were not human, but being trained warrior he thought he could manage to use his old skills before he turned. They captured a female deer  and the fisherman pour blood in the bowl and offered it to Argo , he remembered each time Argo came back with a hunt he had blood on his mouth suggesting he drank it. Argo received the bowl and drank it , but the smell of blood triggered his vampire instincts , his eyes changed and his fangs

Grew , his nails were longer and sharper.

The fisherman was terrified but he could not react fast enough , Argo could not let him go back and reveal their secret . Argo returned with a deer and the fisherman's body and he gave them to the family , When Rahnie saw Argo and the fangs on the dead body of the fisherman she knew exactly what had happened and she was furious , she went in their hut followed by Argo.

Rahnie

"You just couldn't help yourself huh?, what has gotten into you? You promised me!"

Argo

"Would you calm down! It was an accident okay, he saw me change"

Rahnie

"And you killed him? Couldn't you just hypnotize him to forget?"
