Umaizah and I left the café. We didn't really speak much the time we were there. In my head I thought she was just quiet and shy, but at the same time people have said if a girl eats in front of you then she trusts you. Erm... Okay I may be delusional thinking that she trusts me this quick, throughout the period of knowing each other. The only words that came out of our mouths were "this is good" or "you should try this". However, I did make her think she had chocolate on her face. The atmosphere between us needed a bit of humour. If that's what you call humour.

The look on her face was funny. I had to hold in my laugh to not scare her. I needed to hold a conversation with her. I can feel she's the type of girl to open up to someone once she's comfortable with them. Therefore, I need to show her that I'm capable of seeing that side.

At the moment, I was holding hands with Umaizah as I leaded the way to my house.

Too early to hold hands with a girl you just met...

The house was quite big enough to hide her from my family, for obvious reasons. I can't let my family see her this soon of meeting her. It's took much of a risk. My mum is a gossiper, my sister can't keep her mouth shut to save her life and Hassan, my little brother, well - he won't pay attention to Umaizah. My dad may not be there since he works all hours on a Friday.

He works in mines to pay off the bills for our house. We renovated it recently due to the walls the trolls have damaged. Recently throughout Serendria, there had been a small number of invasions concluding trolls. I have no idea what had triggered them. We changed the wallpaper and brick material of our home. Not much difference but gives a better look to it overall.

Hopefully, it seems presentable to Umaizah. I've seen pictures of the palace in the north of Serendria. The palace has white, polished dragons representing the extinct creatures from over a few centuries ago. The inside to be greeted by many exotic flowers. The corridors lined with tapestries of young King Fahad, along with the royal ancestry. The throne room was made of pure gold and rare jewels. Every corner of the palace held something special to it.

We kept walking for another few minutes, I held the leftover food from the café, thinking about whether Umaizah would leave by her own decisions or by her father's. I mean it's kind of weird how she was in the forest by herself at early sunrise. I shouldn't judge, but it still lingers in my mind of what she was doing there.

                          ~Umaizah's POV~

We kept walking in silence following another pathway, making me think we were heading to Amir's place, acknowledging that there was a river in the distance nearby. The ground looked muddy making me stop, since I didn't want my slippers to be left soiled. I let go of Amir's hand, making him looking at me with a confused expression. I gazed my eyes in the direction of the mud then looked back at him, allowing an awkward smile pass through my face.

"I don't want my slippers to get dirty. I forgot to bring an extra pair of shoes with me." I felt embarrassed for not being prepared enough. Although, It should have been obvious that I couldn't walk past this, considering I had no bags with me.

Amir took a few steps back and told me to go on his back. Carefully, I placed myself onto him, hoping I wouldn't be heavy. I gently wrapped my arms around his neck, with just a few inches of distance between mine and his head. He adjusted me before he went back to walking.

"Do you feel fine?" I nuzzled my head into his neck slightly nodding.

The village was quite big than I imagined. It didn't have many people out at the moment, though the morning had just started. It was only then that I saw a house with such whimsical architecture, adorned with vibrant colours and intricate designs. It had a thatched roof, rounded windows and a charming garden filled with eye catching flowers alongside various fruits.
