Layna took Umaizah to her bedroom to give her extra clothes. Thank god mum and dad went out. It means we get to have the house to ourselves, go out for how long we'd like. Layna doesn't like to go out with me, so she can stay with Hassan whilst I can take Umaizah out with me.
I was still sitting in the same place, deciding what to do; given that Layna and Umaizah might take long because of how much clothes Layna has. God knows how she can fit them all in her closet. I wonder where she even buys them all, considering she barely asks mum and dad for money. Doesn't concern me though.
I went to my room to change my clothes. I've worn these black trousers since Wednesday, just before I got fired. Stupid Aldric. I changed in some more presentable clothes, only took me two minutes since they were already out on my bed.
I came back to the living room, the girls were still in Layna's room. I decided to take a nap. I anticipated they would take forever. Layna would probably drain Umaizah out by only speaking to her for a minute. She's a chatterbox whenever she meets another person who's a girl. She's always quiet around guys.
I thought about what I needed to get from one of the shops in the Serendrian Village. I could possibly buy some things while Umaizah is here. I could get her to know the village a bit better. I noticed how clueless she was in the village. Like she never explored the outside of the Serendrian Palace.
I needed to get some new archery equipment from Garreth. Layna threw mine recently. Don't know why she did it, if I'm being honest.
I put my legs on the sofa, with my head resting on the headrest, alongside my arm behind my head for support as I closed my eyes.I woke up to the blaring squealing sounds, coming from Layna's room. The sound rang in my ear. If you need someone to scare off a kidnapper, get Layna. Steadily, I got up from the sofa and headed to the kitchen to grab some cold water. Hassan was still in his own world, so I let him be. I rubbed my eyes to get a clearer vision. As I drank the water, I could hear some laughter together with some overlapped footsteps. I heard it getting louder at that moment.
In the corner of my eye, I saw Layna and Umaizah wearing pink matching dresses. I didn't want to look straight away, not wanting to appear weird for waiting for them.
When I knew Umaizah was sitting down, I took a quick look in her direction. I was captivated by her beauty. She was wearing a pink, flowy dress that fitted her perfectly. Her figure was tiny. The corset enhancing her curvy figure, with her almost puffy skirt running down, reaching almost above her knees.
Layna came over, grinning widely as she stood close to me. What was her problem?
"Whatchu doing?" She sung.
This is creepy. Why did she suddenly talk to me? I mean, she can speak to me, but not in that tone. This makes me thinking she has something going on. Starting a conversation is one thing, but coming up to me like this was weird.
"Just drinking water. What does it look like to you?" She headed over to the fridge, getting fruit platters and placing them in two white bowls.
"I don't know. I just wanted to speak to you." She avoided my gaze.
"About what?"
What was there to speak about?"Nothing, really." She shrugged, still not keeping eye contact.
Right as I was about to speak, she cut me off.
"I still don't believe how you met Umaizah."I looked at her cautiously. She can't manipulate me to give her the truth.
"We bumped into each other a few days ago, Thursday even. I was doing archery in the forest and she was taking a walk. I just didn't tell you because you've got a big mouth."
Technically, I wasn't lying. I did accidentally bump into Umaizah, not in this way though.
She hummed, ignoring what I said and started on a new subject. "Do you like the dress she's wearing?"
Glancing back at Umaizah, I took in her presence again. "Yeah, she looks good."
I had to make myself not interested. Layna can easily tell when I'm lying. I hate how she would indirectly point things towards me. It seems like she's trying to get out of me how good Umaizah looks. Can't expose myself like that to her.
"Alright then." She skips towards Umaizah, leaving me behind the counter. That was a waste of her breath. She could've waited for me to be near Umaizah and say it to her then.
I turned around, facing my back to the two of them. I stayed there for a few moments before quietly making my way to the sofa.
