Layna opened her door as I saw her walls painted with pastel colours, adorned with twinkling fairy lights. There was a charming brown, wooden bed with a canopy draped in flowy curtains. The room was filled with fanciful decorations like dreamcatchers along with some shelves filled with traditional myths, riddled books, and what looked like to be her own written journals. There was also a small desk by the window which was perfect for daydreaming and writing stories. It was a delightful space.
My attention then went back to Layna skipping to her closet. It was bigger than I imagined. She reached for the door of the closet, revealing many dresses and outfits that completed the mood of her room.
"Sorry that there aren't many options. I tend to buy similar outfits." I smiled at her and walked near her.
She was wrong. There were various options anyone could choose from. Gold, light pastels, vibrant jewels together with other miscellaneous items. How could she have thought that she didn't have much clothing?
My eyes was caught onto a pink, flowy small dress. It had dainty lace details that completed the dress' appearance. The balloon sleeves were like puffy clouds that added a playful and and amusing touch. It created a voluminous and statement making look, giving the dress a touch of drama and elegance. It was a fashionable detail that created a fun and unique vibe to the dress.
The dress also had a corset. A corset that cinched the waist, accentuating the curves - creating an elegant silhouette. It attached a touch of vintage charm and sophistication to the overall view. A classic and timeless feature that brought a touch of glamour.
I picked it up, held it against my body, turning to the mirror on my right. It looked like it fitted me. I faced Layna - who was already giving me an approving expression.
She jumped whilst clapping, giving a smile that lighted up her face. "Yes, you should wear that. It suits you so much! Can we wear matching dresses?"
"Obviously, I wouldn't want to be the only one wearing a dress this beautiful." I glanced inside her closet again and saw a similar dress.
"You can wear the dress with the off-the-shoulder sleeves. I think it'll look good on you." I grabbed the dress, putting it against her body. She took the hanger as she walked to the mirror, looking at me through it whilst nodding her head non stop.
"I love it! I forgot I even had this dress." She let out a giggle as I copied her. It felt better being with Layna. She's like the younger sister I needed in my life.
"Oh yeah, I forgot shoes." She walked away to a nearby box, opening it as it revealed numerous sparkling heels, slippers etc.
"You can wear these heels, the strap is a type of material that you can adjust. The rest is glass." She placed them on the ground whilst saying, "It's not hard to walk in."
Layna allowed me to change in her bathroom, in the time she was changing in her own bedroom. I left my tiara on, as I don't think much would happen if I wore it or not, regardless of what's happened.
The dress fitted perfectly, it suited my shoulder lengthened hair. Before I changed, I took out my shards from my nightwear and placed them in a hidden pocket of my dress. Layna allowed me to use whatever I needed in her bathroom, so I helped myself to some of her accessories. I didn't wear much except from a gold bracelet on each wrist and nothing else. I left the earrings I already had on. They were teardrop earrings which were gold plated, but had small diamonds inside of them.
I ran my fingers through my curls. I didn't want to brush them out today; they looked better in this style. I didn't think about putting makeup on either. I looked fine without it.
