TORFA

KREE BORDER PLANET

THE GALAXY WAS dark and quiet like it usually was, unless there were ships flying around as they headed from whatever planet that was their destination for the day. The stars were bright, the planets moving in a circle motion throughout the time being while the civilians on each of the planets did their daily things.

A couple of ships could be seen floating within the dark outer space as they moved towards the planet called Torfa. From inside one of them, it opened up before a small pod was being shot forward and in the direction of the large planet, smoke trailing behind it from how fast it was blasting forward.

The smaller ship flew right through the grey clouds before it was down on the planet, shooting straight down in the water with a big splash. When it touched part of the ground of the ocean, it moved back up a bit before it opened and the group wearing all the same suits were shooting straight out of it. F/n could be seen flying in between Yon-Rogg and Vers.

All of them had their helmets on, a holographic mask of some sorts over their eyes and mouths so they could still breathe while they were under the water. From up above, the water had calmed down a bit with the occasional small waves just when lots of heads popped out of the water quietly.

"Vers, F/n, track Soh-Larr's beacon." Yon-Rogg orders when they were all out of the water, the holographic turning off. "Att-Lass, Minn-Erva, find elevation."

Vers found himself silently thanking the middle aged Kree man for teaming him up with the woman his heart was strong for, considering in his opinion, he thought they worked better together. Once they were all out of the water and their boot covered feet were touching the sand of the beach, they all quietly rushed in different directions.

F/n felt her helmet disappear just as Vers grabbed her hand and they were quietly sneaking forward, making sure to stay a bit ducked down in case someone could be close by. Vers would take occasional glances behind him to make sure that F/n was still close to him, even though their hands were clasped together.

After about a minute or so, they stopped near a cliff and crouched down behind something just when the pad on the arm of F/n's suit beeped, making the two of them look down at it, signaling that Soh-Larr's beacon was coming just up ahead. The sound of other footsteps could be heard as Yon-Rogg and some of the others joined them, crouching down.

"His beacon's coming from that temple." F/n informs as she uses her head to motion to the temple ahead. "Let's move."

Yon-Rogg shakes his head. "No. This is a perfect spot for an ambush. Only one way in, only one way out."

"We can get past the locals." Korath states.

"We don't know if they are locals. Too risky." Yon-Rogg argues.

"You don't have to come with us, F/n and I will go alone." Vers insists as he begins to stand up.

"No, you won't." Yon-Rogg firmly protests, sighing when the others all looked at him. "Right. We keep a close radius. We lose comms, we meet back at the Helion."

He was looking at the two in front of him as he motioned for them to come with him before they were all moving towards the bridge, feet stepping onto it. Yon-Rogg and some others held their guns while they moved to the sides, glancing everywhere to make sure that there was no enemy in sight while Vers and F/n started moving forward.

All of them had moved across the bridge until they reached the entrance of the temple together. F/n tightened her grip on Vers' hand while they moved further in, leaving some of them at the entrance and Yon-Rogg moved another way. It was foggy all around the temple, making it hard to see something from afar.

Vers had been the first to catch sight of someone's figure, tugging on F/n's hand that had her looking at him before she followed his gaze. Following where the Soh-Larr's beacon was, F/n took many glances down at the arm of her suit as they moved further and further into the temple, having no idea what was happening outside.

The occasional beeps or other noises from the arm of the suit could be heard, which would occasionally quietly echo throughout the tunnel. F/n took her hand out of Vers as she moved in a different direction while Vers looked somewhere close by. The sound of heavy breathing had the young woman stop, seeing a figure within the fog.

Glancing down at the screen on her arm when it made a beeping sound, she was quick to realize that she had reached where Soh-Larr was. Keeping her eyes on the figure within the fog, F/n made sure her voice was quiet as she called out Vers' name, ushering him over and claiming she found their fellow Kree.

"HGX-78." F/n speaks up.

"TRT79-VVX6." Soh-Larr mumbles in response.

The sound of rushed footsteps could be heard, followed by Vers' pants as he caught up with her just as Soh-Larr took a couple step forward, revealing his blue face to the woman in front of him. Sighing in relief that she had found him, Vers stepped forward and helped the Kree man against a rock when he stumbled.

Soh-Larr, with the help of Vers, fell down until his butt sat on the ground and his back was leaning against a rock. F/n and Vers were on either side of him as they crouched beside him, making sure he was alright. It was then that the comm on Vers' suit could be heard as Yon-Rogg's voice came out staticky, but they were able to make out the word 'Skrulls'.

"It's an ambush." Yon-Rogg's voice comes through.

At the sound of this, F/n felt her eyes widen when she made eye contact with Vers before looking down at Soh-Larr. Next thing she knew, however, Soh-Larr brought a hand up holding a weapon and the electricity from it shot her right in the neck, causing her body to shake as she collapsed to the ground, everything going black.

Vers raised his hand in a fist as the aura of his powers wrapped around it, showing he was about to attack the Skrull disguised as a Kree. Unfortunately, the Skrull was quick to do the same he had done with F/n and aimed the weapon right at his neck. Vers' arm dropped as he fell onto the ground just like F/n had done.

Vers was shaking as he laid on the ground, not hearing anything from F/n to show she had gotten knocked out from the electricity. He could hear Yon-Rogg's voice trying to contact him through the comms after he hadn't gotten anything from F/n. The blonde's eyes watched as the Kree he thought was Soh-Larr turned into a Skrull, revealing it to be the general Talos himself.

"How did you know, the code?" Vers pants out in question.

"How about I tell you my secret..." Talos begins as he bends down to reveal his face more, glancing between him and the unconscious F/n. "...when you've both told me yours?"

And with that, he aimed the gun right at Vers' face as the electricity courses through the blonde Kree before he was completely knocked out. And the last thing he saw, as his head lulled to the side, was F/n unconscious on the ground just like him.
