Real quick, I forgot to mention that all of this was my great friend Velvetcansteponmengl's idea. So go give them a follow and show them your support! Onto the story!

At the mall.

Ritz's Pov: "Ok, Vee, just uh, stay out here for a bit, I need to talk to someone in there." I pointed at the candy store.

"Ok, don't take so long though."

"I'll try?"

"Whatever, just do what you need to do."

I ran into the store to meet up with Orchid.

"Hey Ritz, over here!"

"Coming!" I walked over the her. "Ok, just to make sure, you're Orchid, right?"

"Yeah."

Then all of a sudden, we just hear Veneer and Velvet talking outside.

"Look who it is, the saddened and weak. It seems those beams of light have caused some glare." We heard Veneer say.

And in response, we heard Velvet. "Shallow, cold, wretched. Miserable, dark, and any other adjective choose to sit safely out of the sun, away from rays so blinding to the eye."

"Freakish and dismal. Hollow and bleak, I could go on, but let's leave it there. Resident Heart is feeble and frail, a scourge to purge; due diligence is all. Silent, sad outbursts, inaudible wails, dictate she never does as she's told."

"But as complacency settles anxieties will rise, and part this Soul as Jekyll parted Hyde. Now I'm but half of a hollow man's lies. The love, the hate, the emotional side." Veneer sighed disappointingly as we heard Velvet go on almost desperately. "What's the point in trying if this end result of dying sits. Persistently encloaked in dimness, life can't thrive controlled by digits! I know I'm weak. I know that I'm vile, but sometimes that is needed to survive! That's what I'll say to rationalize I'm needed if we're to stay alive, and yet here I lie with black sunken eyes. My Mind's consigned our sighs to a leaden void. The Soul remains tempered. I remain plied, condemned 'til we are both all but destroyed."

"Fathers of fathers, brothers of sons, deterred from being what they know they can. All because Vel refuses to run, this creature hardly resembles a girl. My logic is the absolute, her pity parties simply harm these chances at an apt repute, esteemed regard in place of mockery. I'm sure it seems from her point of view that I'm a simple, cynical machine, but is it so hard to see the whole truth? I merely seek a Soul that's pristine."

"Ok, yeah this is getting out of hand." I said.

"Yeah, and it's only been a few minutes too. We need to do something before they're at each other's throats." Orchid replied.

We both ran out of the store. "Hey, Veneer say, wanna go to Hot Topic?" I said frantically.

"No-"

I interrupted him. "Haha, great, let's go." I grabbed his hand and dragged him to Hot Topic with me.

At Hot Topic.

"So, wanna buy another hoodie?" I asked.

Veneer sighed. "Fine."

"Nice."

"But we're splitting up, so I can find my own stuff too."

"Fair enough." I agree and we went in the opposite direction of each other in the store. Then my phone started ringing, it was Orchid. "Hello." I answered.

"Hey, just wanted to say, thanks for breaking up the fight, but also uh, we still need to get to the bottom of this."

"Your right about that, but we we need to do it in a way where they won't be choking each other constantly."

"True. Except, that's basically impossible. Veneer is gonna bully the crap out of Velvet one way or another."

"What if... What if we get them to talk to each other in a friendly manner?"

"But how?"

"Don't worry, I have a plan."

"Okay, I'm trusting you on this." Orchid hung up.

"Hey Vee!"

"Hm?"

"Wanna go... Go get some uh, ice cream with me?" I said ever so unsuspiciously.

"Sure."
