Kabul, AfghanistanIn the year, 2019, this is not a good year for the city of Kabul, because of the attacks by the terrorist insurgency movement known as the Taliban. Life there has never been easy. The U.S. military was patrolling the streets within and outside the city every day.
Right at this moment, a dozen U.S. Marines are currently currently scouting the streets.
"Alright men, one last sweep," the colonel said, "After that, we might come home in one piece."
All twelve of the U.S. Marines cheer after hearing their colonel's words.
Suddenly, gunfire was heard, "Take cover!" the colonel ordered.
The U.S. Marines then split up to take cover from the shootout with the Taliban.
"Watson! Grant! Turner! Analysis report!" the colonel ordered.
A female U.S. Marine with light skin reports, "I'd say at least seven hostiles in the building!" she then brings up her sniper and points at the building to look through her scope to see infrared, "And four back-ups with each one!"
"Corporal Turner!" the colonel calls out, "Get your men to take them out!"
The male U.S. Marine with semi-tanned skin revealed to be named; Turner, shouts into his radio, "I want rocket soldiers here, now!"
Three U.S. Marines run near Turner's position and aim their RPGs at the building. Turner points and shouts, "FIRE!" The three U.S. Marines fired their RPGs at the building and the rockets hit three of the Taliban squads in the building.
The female keeps her scope looking at the building and then reports, "Two of each reserve have left the building and are exiting it!"
"Corporal Grant!" one of the soldiers beside her tells her, "Permission to throw grenades?!"
"Granted!" the female U.S. Marine revealed as, Grant, responded. The two soldiers with her then each threw a grenade at the group of Taliban soldiers that were exiting the building.
"Grant!" the colonel asks the female U.S. Marine, "How many more?!"
Corporal Grant points her sniper at the open road to see incoming Taliban soldiers. Grant reports, "Two dozen at least. Coming our way."
"Captain Watson!" the colonel calls out to the final marine, "Call in a Humvee escort. Let's push these bastards back!"
Doing as the colonel said, the captain known as Watson takes out his radio and says, "This is Captain Watson of Hunter 4-9, we need Humvee backup. We are six klicks northeast of Kabul. Repeat, we need Humvee backup, six klicks northeast outside Kabul."
"Copy that Hunter 4-9, backup is on the way," the soldier on the other end of the radio responded, "ETA three minutes and fifteen seconds."
"Wait, what's that?" a soldier asked as he pointed ahead.
They all saw what the soldier was pointing at and saw a bright flashing light behind some ruins and rubble right behind the Taliban. They suddenly heard screaming and the sound of animal growls as the Taliban soldiers turned around to where the light flashed. More screams and gunfire were sounded.
The marines stood in confusion and caution as this was happening.
"Grant!" the colonel orders the female marine, "Eyes up!"
Corporal Grant points her sniper toward the dust cloud and looks through the scope. She reports, "I got nothing, sir!"
"Watson! Take Grant, Turner, and four of your best men to scout ahead," the colonel ordered, "And stay close."
