Timeskip A Month later~
The sudden snap in Lucifer's demeanor sent an electric shock through the air, leaving Adam stunned and perplexed. In that fleeting moment, the facade of normalcy shattered, revealing a glimpse of the supernatural beneath. Unbeknownst to the human students around them, Lucifer's eyes flickered with an otherworldly intensity, and an unseen force crackled in the air.

"Lucifer, what ... what the fuck  was that?" Adam stammered, his voice a mix of concern and disbelief. The park, now a surreal backdrop to this unexpected revelation, with the lingering echoes of unearthly power.

Lucifer, breathing heavily as if struggling to contain the forces within, turned to Adam with a haunted expression clinging onto his his rubberduck necklace and his promise ring from Lilith . "I told you, Adam. I'm not like you. I never was." His words hung in the air, a confession of a truth that had been concealed beneath the surface of their seemingly normal lives.

As realization dawned on Adam, the weight of understanding pressed upon him. The challenges of adapting to the human school were more complex than he could have ever imagined. The boundaries between the ordinary and the supernatural had blurred, and Adam grappled with the realization that , Lucifer, carried a burden beyond the comprehension of their human peers.

With a conflicted heart, Adam mustered the courage to speak, "Lucifer, it doesn't matter what you are. ,and I want to understand. Whatever the hell you're going through ." The park, now a sanctuary for their unspoken struggles, bore witness to the beginning of a journey that transcended the ordinary challenges of adapting to a human school, weaving the threads of friendship with the supernatural tapestry of Lucifer's existence. As the revelation hung heavy in the air, Lucifer's internal struggle manifested in the trembling leaves and flickering streetlights around them. The park, once a place of solace, now felt like a stage for a cosmic drama unfolding between the two friends. Adam, caught in the midst of the supernatural display, realized that the barriers between their worlds were thinner than he could have ever fathomed.

Lucifer, his eyes pleading for understanding, took a tentative step back. "Adam, you don't get it. This isn't just a bad day or some teenage angst. I'm different. More than different."

Adam, still processing the unearthly spectacle, felt a surge of empathy for him. "Lucifer, we all have our demons to face, metaphorical or not. Whatever you are, it doesn't change who you've been to me."

Yet, as the words hung in the air, a distant siren broke the surreal silence. The school, their refuge turned into a distant memory, now beckoned as a reminder of the fragile normalcy they were trying to maintain. The secret that Lucifer harbored, now exposed, carried the weight of a shared burden that transcended the challenges of adapting to the human school.

Together, they walked back, navigating the familiar streets with an unfamiliar tension.

~In class~
As the school day resumed, Adam's gaze wandered across the classroom, his attention drawn to Lucifer's restless demeanor. The weight of Lucifer's Mental making it difficult for him to find comfort in the confines of the classroom. His constant fidgeting and inability to sit still were telltale signs of the internal struggles he faced.

For Lucifer, his restlessness did not go unnoticed. Eve, sitting beside him, observed his discomfort with a sympathetic gaze. Sensing his unease, she leaned closer and whispered words of reassurance, her voice a gentle balm to his troubled mind. The connection between them, forged through shared experiences and understanding, provided a glimmer of solace in the midst of the classroom chaos.

Adam, from across the room, couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Seeing Lucifer find solace in someone else's presence stirred a mix of emotions within him. Thoughts raced through his mind, questioning who Eve thought she was to offer comfort to Lucifer when he himself had been there for him all along.

The green-eyed monster of jealousy gnawed at Adam's heart, clouding his judgment and overshadowing the empathy he should have felt for his friend. In that moment, he failed to recognize that Lucifer's struggles were not a competition, but rather an opportunity for compassion and support.

As the day wore on, Adam's jealousy simmered beneath the surface, casting a shadow over his interactions with both Lucifer and Eve. The complexities of his emotions intertwined with the challenges of understanding and accepting the struggles of others, creating a tangled web of emotions within the classroom walls. The bell rang, signaling the end of the class, but Adam couldn't shake off the unease that lingered after witnessing Lucifer's subdued state. Determined to bridge the emotional gap, he approached Lucifer with a tentative step, ready to offer a comforting word. However, Lucifer's distant gaze and vacant expression hinted at a profound struggle within.

"Lucifer, is everything okay?" Adam inquired, concern etched across his face. The usual spark in Lucifer's eyes seemed dimmed, replaced by a heaviness that weighed on both of them.

As Adam hesitated, contemplating his next move, an impulse overcame him. Without thinking, he enveloped Lucifer in a spontaneous hug. The unexpected gesture caught them both off guard, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze.

Adam, now realizing the unconventional nature of his action, blushed furiously. "I-I'm sorry, Shit.I didn't mean to... I just thought you could use a hug."

Lucifer, surprised by the unexpected display of affection, slowly lifted his head, his expression softened. "It's fine, Adam. I... I appreciate it. Just been having a rough day."

As the awkwardness lingered in the air, Adam, still flustered, attempted to salvage the situation. "Yeah, well, you know, friends hug sometimes, right? I mean, not that it's a big deal or anything. Forget I said that."

A small, genuine smile played on Lucifer's lips, a rare sight amidst the struggles he faced. "Thanks, Adam. It means more than you think."

Adam, nervously adjusting his backpack, mumbled, "So, uh, about just now ... you know, the hug. Forget it happened, okay?"
Lucifer, wiping away a happy tear, looked at Adam with a grateful smile. "No way, Adam. That hug meant a lot to me. Thanks for being there when I needed it."
In the cafeteria, Adam stumbled over his words, trying to maintain composure. "I just thought, you know, friends should be there for each other. Not a big deal."
Lucifer, still visibly touched, replied, "It is a big deal, Adam. I never expected someone to understand."
During a break between classes, Adam awkwardly cleared his throat. "So, um, if you ever need to talk or Whatever,I'm here  Short King,Not that I'm saying you need to talk, but, you know, just putting it out there."
Lucifer, a hint of a smile on his face, nodded. "I appreciate that, Adam."It means a lot..and short king? Hmm.." slightly annoyed at that statement but brushes if off
While walking home, Adam fumbled with his words again. "Listen, Lucifer, don't go thinking this makes us best buddies or anything. I just... felt like doing it, that's all."
Lucifer, his eyes glistening with gratitude, responded, "No worries, Adam. I won't tell anyone you have a soft side. Promise."
In the library, Adam, pretending to be absorbed in a book, blurted out, "I was just being nice earlier. It's not like I enjoy hugging people or anything."

Lucifer, a tear rolling down his cheek, chuckled softly. "Sure, Adam. Whatever you say. But thanks, really. You made my day a lot better."
