Chapter 3-Study Session

The next day, Adam found himself reflecting on the events of the previous day as he entered the school cafeteria. Lucifer, spotting him from across the room, waved him over to join him at their usual table.

"Hey, Adam! How's the shirt holding up?" Lucifer grinned Teasingly, making a reference to the spilled coffee incident.

Adam chuckled, appreciating the light-hearted approach. "Surviving, thanks to some quick thinking and a change of clothes. But seriously, thanks for having my back, Lucifer."

Lucifer shrugged casually, "No big deal, man. Friends look out for each other, right?" Said Softly

As they continued their conversation, Lucifer steered the discussion towards lighter topics, providing a welcome distraction from the usual stress.

Later in the day, during a shared study session, Lucifer couldn't help but bring up the spilled coffee incident again. "So, Adam, spill anything else lately?" Lucifer grinned

Adam rolled his eyes, a playful smirk on his face. "Not yet, but I'll let you know if I need your superhero skills again."

Lucifer laughed, the camaraderie between them growing stronger. "Hey, anytime you need a coffee guardian, I'm your guy." Said Jokingly

As the day progressed, Adam and Lucifer found themselves sharing more laughs, inside jokes, and genuine moments of connection. The unexpected events had forged a bond that seemed to transcend the usual surface-level interactions. As Adam gathered his books to leave the study session, he failed to notice a book left carelessly on the floor. Just as he took a step, his foot slipped on the unexpected obstacle, sending him off balance. Before he could hit the ground, Lucifer, quick on his feet, caught him mid-fall.

Caught off guard, Adam felt a rush of fluster and heat creeping up his cheeks. He found himself locked in a momentary gaze with Lucifer, the world momentarily narrowing down to just the two of them. There was a mix of surprise, embarrassment, and a strange fluttering feeling in Adam's chest.

Their silent exchange was abruptly interrupted by a nosy librarian who couldn't resist intervening. "Hey, keep the noise down, and watch where you're going!" she scolded.

Lucifer, still holding Adam in his arms, dropped him abruptly, wincing at the impact. Adam, now on his feet but slightly irritated, shot Lucifer a glance that conveyed a mixture of annoyance and discomfort.

Lucifer, nervously trying to diffuse the tension, offered an apologetic smile. "Oops, my bad. I guess I overdid the heroics there."

Adam, still flustered and blushing, muttered , "Yeah, maybe stick to saving the day without the dramatic catches next time." Despite his annoyance, there was a subtle playfulness in his tone.

As they both tried to shake off the awkwardness, the library returned to its usual quiet atmosphere.
