Five and y/n walked into the buffet, hands entwined, and began selecting items for their breakfast plates. Y/n grabbed some toast, while Five opted for sausages. As they approached the table where everyone was sitting, the Hargreeves siblings greeted y/n with warm smiles. However, Diego's expression was notably different, as he shot daggers in her direction. Ignoring the hostile glance, y/n and Five took their seats. Sloane turned to y/n and asked, "How was your night?" Y/n grinned, recalling the passionate moments she shared with Five. "It was nice," she replied, looking at Sloane with a playful glint in her eye. Klaus, taking a bite of his food, couldn't resist chiming in, "Just nice?" His mischievous tone drew everyone's attention as they awaited y/n's response.

Y/n's cheeks turned a shade of red as she admitted, "Well, it was very enjoyable." The unexpected revelation caused raised brows around the table, but Diego's initial scoff was met with a warning look from Lila. He sighed, relenting a bit, which eased y/n's worries about potential drama. Y/n continued, smiling at everyone, "I'm grateful that most of you could find peace in your hearts and forgive me." Viktor, joining the conversation, smiled warmly and said, "We're all happy that you and Five found common ground again."

Five chimed in, agreeing with Viktor's sentiment, "I am too." Underneath the table, he discreetly slid his hand onto y/n's thigh, surprising her yet providing a sense of comfort. The two turned to each other, sharing a loving, soft smile. In a tender gesture, Five leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on y/n's forehead. Diego's irritated tone filled the air as he addressed y/n, "y/n, can I talk to you alone?" Despite the annoyance in his voice, y/n could sense an attempt at calmness. She glanced at Five, who shrugged in response. Y/n smiled at him before turning back to Diego, agreeing, "Yeah, sure." Both of them slipped off their chairs, leaving Five with a hint of disappointment as his hand was no longer on y/n's thigh.

Behind a pillar, away from the prying eyes of the family, Diego turned to y/n, his voice stern as he questioned her motives. "Why are you doing all of this?" he demanded. Y/n met his gaze, her tone calm as she replied, "For love." Diego scoffed, "You can't throw that word around so lightly." Y/n, however, questioned him, "Why can't you give me a second chance?"

Diego sighed, realizing the truth in her words. He asked y/n, "why do you love Five? If you even do, that is." Y/n took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding to Diego's question about why she loved Five. She explained, "Diego, I love Five because he's unlike anyone I've ever met. He challenges me, understands me in ways no one else does. Yes, I've made mistakes, and I can't change the past, but I'm willing to make up for them. I want to give him my whole heart, show him that I can be better. He means everything to me, and I can't imagine my life without him."

Diego's expression softened as he listened to Y/n's heartfelt words. He found himself contemplating the possibility that she might genuinely be trying to change. "Y/n," he said, a hint of seriousness in his tone, "if you're serious about this, if you truly want a second chance with Five, you need to promise me something. Promise me that you'll love him, and not just with words. Show it every day. Prove to him and to all of us that you've really changed."

Y/n met Diego's eyes, a determination in her gaze. "I promise, Diego. I'll do everything in my power to show him and everyone else that I'm committed to being a better person, and that my love for him is real." The sincerity in her voice carried weight, and Diego nodded, acknowledging her words. Diego's expression softened, and he began to share more about Five's life. "You know, Y/n, Five's never really had anyone to love him the way he loves. Well, except for Dolores, but she's plastic, so that doesn't count." Y/n raised a curious brow, prompting Diego to dismiss the comment. "Never mind that. The point is, he needs someone who genuinely cares about him. If you're willing to be that special someone, then so be it."

Y/n nodded, understanding the gravity of Diego's words. "I won't take this opportunity lightly, Diego. I know how much he means to you all, and I'm determined to be there for him in every way possible."

Diego sighed, a mix of skepticism and hope in his eyes. "Just don't mess this up, Y/n. Five deserves more happiness than he's had, and I won't tolerate seeing him hurt again."

Y/n nodded, expressing her commitment to proving herself. "I won't, Diego. I'll do my best to bring happiness into his life." Diego smiled slightly, patting y/n's shoulder. "Welcome to the family," he said, albeit with a hint of warning. "Just be ready for how dysfunctional we can be." Y/n chuckled, responding, "Thank you. And who wants a normal family anyways?" Diego joined in her laughter as they walked back to the family.

Y/n took her seat next to Five as Diego sat in his chair next to Lila. Five leaned in, curiosity in his eyes as he asked, "What did Diego want?" Y/n smiled at Five, leaning in slightly. "Diego just wanted to have a chat. He wanted me to promise that I'll love you and show it every day," she explained, a warm glint in her eyes. Five's expression softened as he absorbed her words. Five smiled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes, as he whispered, "Promise me you'll keep that promise." Y/n, with sincerity in her voice, responded, "I'll keep that promise till the day I die." They exchanged a loving glance, sealing their commitment.
