Y/n's eyes widened as she saw Diego storming toward her with an angry expression. Her heart raced, anticipating what he might say or do. However, before Diego could reach her, Lila stepped in front of him, blocking his path and preventing any further escalation.

Diego glared at Lila, frustration evident on his face. "Out of my way, Lila. I need to talk to her."

Lila held her ground, looking back at Diego with a challenging expression. "No, Diego. You're not ruining Luther and Sloane's wedding with your anger. Let things be for now."

Diego's frustration was palpable as he tried to explain himself. "Lila, I just want to talk to her. That's it."

Lila, however, remained skeptical and scoffed at his words. "Bullshit, Diego. You're seething with anger, and I won't let you cause any problems here. Back off and let things be. This is Sloane's and Luther's wedding, not the time for your personal vendettas."

Diego's jaw tightened, clearly torn between his desire to confront Y/n and Lila's insistence on maintaining peace.

Diego, frustrated and unwilling to escalate the situation further, rolled his eyes and stormed off, leaving Lila to turn her attention to Y/n. While there was still tension between them, Lila made it clear that she wanted to avoid any unnecessary drama.

Lila, with a stern expression, addressed Y/n, "Look, I don't want any drama tonight. This is Sloane's and Luther's special day, and I won't let anything ruin it. So, keep it together, okay?" Her tone was firm, but there was a subtle hint of understanding beneath the surface. Despite their differences, it seemed that Lila, too, recognized the importance of maintaining peace during the celebration.

Y/n nodded appreciatively at Lila and said, "Thanks for stepping in." Lila offered a slight smile and a nod before turning to catch up with Diego.

Faith chuckled and said, "You barely dodged a bullet there. Diego looked ready to start a storm." Y/n let out a nervous laugh, realizing the potential escalation that was narrowly avoided.

Y/n agreed with a playful grin, "Yeah, I'm probably only safe for tonight. Let's enjoy the moment while it lasts." They both chuckled, choosing to focus on the celebration rather than the potential drama.

Chet grabbed the mic, his energetic voice echoing through the room, "Now, this is for all the party people in the place!" He cued up a groovy song, filling the air with lively beats that immediately set the mood.

Faith grinned and turned to Y/N, standing up with excitement. "Come on, relax and have a good time. Let's dance!" she exclaimed, encouraging Y/N to join the lively celebration. Y/N hesitated, shaking her head, unsure about diving into the festivities. However, Faith wasn't taking no for an answer. Rolling her eyes, Faith grabbed Y/N by the wrist, determined to pull her onto the dance floor.

"Come on, party pooper!" Faith teased, playfully dragging Y/N along. Y/N chuckled and quickly swiped a bottle of champagne from the table, deciding to bring a bit of liquid courage with her to the dance floor.

Y/N and Faith hit the dance floor, letting loose and joining the vibrant celebration. The Hargreeves, despite their complex dynamics, temporarily put aside their drama, allowing the music and dance to take over the moment. Couples, family members, and friends swayed and grooved, immersed in the joy of the occasion.

However, in the midst of the lively scene, Five remained seated at his table, detached from the festivities. He downed a bottle of a mixed alcoholic beverage, his expression stoic and distant. Clearly, he wanted no part in the merriment surrounding him, especially when it came to Y/N.

As Y/N took a momentary break from the dance floor and cast a glance toward Five, a sigh escaped her lips. Feeling a surge of frustration, she looked down at the bottle of champagne in her hands and muttered a resigned "fuck it." With a determined spirit, she began to down the entire bottle, letting the bubbles and alcohol take over.

Her bold move caught the attention of those around her, and for a brief moment, the collective disapproval seemed to dissipate. Klaus, always the instigator, took the lead in cheering her on, shouting, "Chug, chug, chug!" The encouragement spread like wildfire, and soon the whole group, including Faith, joined in the spirited cheers.

In a matter of moments, Y/N managed to down the entire bottle of alcohol, leaving an empty vessel in her hands. The cheers and applause from the crowd echoed around her, the collective joy briefly drowning out the lingering tension. Faith, raising her voice over the music, encouraged Y/N with a triumphant smile, "See! Have some fun!"

Y/N chuckled in response to Faith's encouragement. Without hesitation, she darted over to the bar, snatching up multiple bottles of various alcohols. The bar was conveniently located next to Five, and as Y/N gathered the bottles, she couldn't resist stealing a glance in his direction. With a mischievous wink, she raced back to the dance floor, leaving Five with a somewhat shocked expression on his face.

Y/N swiftly opened two bottles and handed one to Faith. They wasted no time, immediately tipping the bottles back and chugging the contents as they danced, swaying their hips to the rhythm of the song. The music enveloped them, drowning out the tensions and allowing them to lose themselves in the intoxicating beat and the shared moments of revelry.

Ben caught sight of Y/N's energetic and carefree dancing on the crowded dance floor. A smile played on his face as he approached her, his translucent form blending seamlessly with the lively atmosphere. "Hey there! I don't think we've officially met. I'm Ben," he greeted her warmly.

Y/N chuckled, her laughter fueled by the alcohol, and extended her hand. "Nice to meet you, Ben! I'm Y/N. The life of the party, as you can see," she quipped, still dancing with the now empty bottle in her hand.

Curiosity sparked in Ben's eyes as he wondered about her connection with Luther and Sloane. "So, how do you know Luther and Sloane?" he inquired. Y/N's laughter bubbled again as she replied, "Oh, through Five, actually."

Ben's eyes widened in recognition. "Wait, are you the girl Five was talking about yesterday?" he asked, connecting the dots.

As Ben nodded, confirming that Five had indeed mentioned Y/N, she couldn't help but be intrigued. "He talked about me?" she asked, a mix of surprise and curiosity in her voice.

Ben chuckled, "Yeah, you made quite an impression." He then added with a playful smirk, "I'm always open to fun, you know."

Y/N, having some sober thoughts still lingering, caught the underlying meaning and shot him a sarcastic smile. "Thanks, but I think I'll wait around for Five," she replied, emphasizing her determination.

Ben scoffed, "Good luck with that. Five has a stick up his ass most of the time. He might not take you back, you know." Y/N, undeterred, handed Ben the empty bottle, saying, "I'll take those chances," with a confident smirk, Y/N returned to dancing with the same carefree spirit, swaying to the music, while Ben rolled his eyes at her antics and decided to head back to dance on his own again, leaving her to enjoy the night on her own terms.
